I purchased this for my boyfriend who loves bacon -- I thought it would be a funny gag gift. In the end, we both really had fun with it! This game is like a very competitive version of candy land, and it's definitely a fun buy!

We bought this game for fun to entertain my 4-yr old niece visiting but my hubby and I enjoyed it more than she did. It's a fun game where you have to make your way to the frying pan-start to finish with a similar layout like candyland or chutes and ladders. However the Draw a Cards aren't always good. They can send you to Vegan Alley-prior to start or to sausage sea near the end. If you get stuck in Gristle Grotto, which is near the end, you may not win and you jump around the board a lot, send other players back to start. Lots of twists but fun and relaxing and surprises, as you never know who will win til the end. The instructions were very clear and depending which end of bacon slide you are on, you go up it and move forward or back it and move backward. I think this game should be in every household. We play it with my 7 yr old neighbors and they love it too! Makes you want a charcuterie platter if you are hungry but the instructions even have a note on the menu if you want to eat and play. Great game!

We originally received Mr. Bacon's Big Adventure as a gag gift for my husband, who loves games of all kinds. It was fun playing the first time, but quickly forgotten in favor of more "complex" games like Bang! and Risk. A few years later, my daughter came along and she started being very interested in board game nights at our house. We'd pull out extra cards and dice for her to play with along side us. Well at about 2 and a half years, my husband pulled this out for her. It was a hit! Mr. Bacon's Big Adventure calls to mind the early, simple versions of CandyLand, with a good seasoning of meat. The spinner means there's fewer pieces (movement cards, dice) to lose for little players, and the draw cards add a good level of random difficulty for more mature players. This game is engaging for adults and children alike, and is appropriate for mixed groups.

I bought this as a gift for a Bacon loving friend, it is so funny. We can't wait for the right night to play it. It could best be described as an adult bacon themed version of the game Candy Land. It will give everyone a good laugh. The board has lots of intricate meaty detailing.

My grandkids enjoy playing this game. It's definitely a kids' game, though. I can't see adults playing this game for very long.
