To get his inheritance he has to go to California and within a specified time or the estate will fall under the control of the executor John Cutler who wishes that to happen. And it might just happen cause Guido doesn't like to fly so by the time he gets to America he will just have enough time to get there. But running into some undesirable individuals he loses all of his money and has to find a way to get there. Great movie! All great actors! I especially loved Terence Hill and Jackie Gleason! Loved the Italy scene in the beginning of the movie and then the adventurous trip to beautiful San Francisco!

5.0 out of 5 stars the epitome of relaxing with a movie July 8, 2010
By bob e.
its been a long time since i saw this movie, but it was more natural to me than his movies with and without bud spencer. i longed to have tv provide another chance to see this, but it receives little attention on tcm, etc. i like actors to challenge their usual genre by outside their usual typecast roles. the ever-smiling terrence hill is perfect as a money man to my mind.

4.0 out of 5 stars Agreeable Entertainment May 9, 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
"Mr. Billion" adds nothing to the action-comedy genre. What it does have is an affable Terrence Hill as a genial Italian mechanic who attains fame and fortune, a delectable Valerie Perrine as the voluptuously sweet bad girl turned love interest for our hero, and the inimitable Jackie Gleason ("the Great One") as the requisite baddie who is trying to cheat Hill's Guido out of his inheritance. This one won't burn the brain cells but it says a lot for lack of pretense.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wrongheaded vehicle for comedian Hill February 23, 1999
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
This is one of those American produced films that showcase a European star (in this case, Italian Terence Hill) with the idea of promoting his fame in the US while ignoring everything that made him famous in his home country (like a Jackie Chan film with boring American fight choreography). Terence Hill became known for his slapstick comedy spoofs like "They Call Me Trinity" and "Crime Busters" but there is practically no slapstick here; just a 70's chase film with practically nothing to distinguish it from a dozen others (except that it has fewer chases than most!) Check out Hill's other films instead.
