I went to high school with Al, and at our 25th reunion he told me that he was one of the top blues harp players in the country. I dabble in blues harp too. I wasn't sure I believed him. Then he showed up on our class's "lost list," and I googled around and found he recorded under a different name than he had in high school. I ordered this CD, and -- no kidding -- he WAS one of the best blues harp players I'd heard. Certainly one of the best living.

I later found him on Classmates dot com, and we exchanged some messages. I highly recommend this CD.

I'VE BEEN A BIG FAN OF AL'S FOR 30 YEARS,AND HIS PLACE HAS YET TO BE RECOGNIZED.AS A HARP PLAYER HIS ONLY PEER IS KIM WILSON,WHO IRONICALLY OWNS THE LABLE AL APPEARS ON. THIS IS A BEGINNING TO WHAT COULD PLACE HIM IN HIS RIGHTFUL POSITION AS ONE OF THE PREIMINATE BLUES MUSICIANS OF HIS GENERATION. GENIUS!!
