This is the second Mr. Christmas tree topper we've owned. The last one was a globe with a lighthouse a the top that had Santa and reindeer revolving around it, which we have used for about six years. This was is as well made and works as perfectly as our old one. Just make sure your tree is not too tall. This is for a tree 6' and under. If your tree is taller (ours was about 7') you have to sit the floor unit on a box or otherwise elevate it. The only reason I don't rate it 5 stars is that the top unit is a bit heavy on the treetop and you have to turn it just right to get it to stand perfectly upright instead of leaning. Also there is no light in the top of the unit, so unlike most tree toppers, this one is dark. You have to have a light on in the room to enjoy it.

this is a fun christmas decoration but it is very picky and jams if it is not set up just right, not to be used around children or animals that might touch it.
