I purchased this model recently for use at work. I've used Mr. Coffee's for many years and have always found them a great value. I would think, though, that after 35 years of making drip coffee makers, Mr. Coffee would figure out how to make a carafe that doesn't drool on the counter every time it is used. I have tried every angle/pour method I can think of and I can't keep the coffee off the counter top. I've given up on cups. I now just pour it on the counter and drink it there. Dogs had the right idea all along. The coffee does taste good, though. Particularly if I have any cookie crumbs left on the counters...

This thing is absolute garbage. If would be tolerable if it made decent tasting coffee, but it doesn't. The most maddening thing about it is the dribbling coffee all over the burner every time I remove the carafe from it. The "pause and serve" feature is a joke - always end up with a puddle on the burner boiling away. I've been using Mr. Coffee coffee makers since the 80s. At first they were US made, then Mexican made and now Chinese. The quality of the unit and flavor of the coffee has declined with each cost cutting labor move. I think this will be my last one (and I doubt it'll take too long before I need to replace it).

I purchased this coffee maker this past January and this morning it stopped working. I've also had the same trouble with the carafe dribbling all over the counter and the coffee maker itself but decided to just live with this problem. Since I have this coffee maker for less than 6 months and it has stopped working, I find it very difficult to recommend this product. Save yourself some headaches and money and don't, I REPEAT DON'T, buy this coffee maker.

I purchased this coffee maker the day after Christmas, as my Christmas morning surprise was that my old Mr. Coffee maker stopped working. Living in a small town, nothing was open to get a freshly brewed cup, so I had to settle for a strong cup of tea instead -- not quite the magical Christmas morning I had envisioned sitting next to the tree surrounded by family with my steaming cup of coffee in my hand.

My 5-year-old Mr. Coffee brand coffee maker had been sturdy and did make adequate coffee for the price of purchase, but I have to say that the quality of their product has severely went downhill in recent years. As other reviewers have mentioned, the coffee drips on the burner when you remove the carafe -- every time! Have a towel handy to wipe up the burner and once you pour your cup, you can wipe off the counter too as coffee drips from the spout all along the front of the carafe. The taste of the coffee is OK, but I'm tired of the mess this coffeemaker leaves for me every time I use it. I think we all work hard for our money these days and deserve better, so I'm shopping for a new coffeemaker. Please think twice before shelling out your hard earned money on this product.

We had a Mr. Coffee with the exact same features as this one, which was 12 years old or so. It had always worked perfect. About a year ago it developed a leak, so I took the bottom off and noticed the rubber tube to the heater had a crack. I cut off about an inch of tube and reconnected it. It worked as new. We really didn't need a new one, but thought it would be nice to modernize. This was on sale and seemed cheap enough to splurge and modernize. I wanted a Mr. Coffee because the old one was so reliable.
As others have said, this one dribbles on the burner when the pot is removed, and then dribbles into your cereal or onto the counter as you pour. A couple of really easy to fix modifications, if the manufacturer had tested these before production. You would think Mr. Coffee would know how to make a coffee pot after all these decades. Joe DiMaggio is turning in his grave.

The unit arrived with a defect in the bottom of the front basket causing a gap between the lid and basket portion. We did not use it because the steam would have came right out of the gap. It was sold as new, but didn't have a booklet with it, as every other Mr. Coffee I've purchased has had, pretty sure it was a reconditioned unit. Opening the top lid and looking into the basket area, the arm the water comes out of was scratched. Very disappointed. Would definitely not order from this seller again. I contacted seller, and did not receive a reply. Amazon was great returned my money the same day. Love Amazon!

One of the most disappointing Coffeemaker I have ever owned. Initially when buying Mr. Coffee, I was holding my expectations high but after brewing my first coffee, as I removed the carafe, I realized that the machine does not prevent the coffee from dopping over the burner. The dribbling of coffee all over the burner made me crazy, don't expect too much from this machine, Mr. Coffee has started to lower its quality...

I am sorry to say that this coffee maker only lasted six weeks. It said on the warranty that it was remanufactured. I guess I missed that part. Since I have long since thrown away the box, I am planning on buying something else.

I have a Norelco coffee maker I purchased in the early nineties, I guess they were trying to branch out. Anyway it made good coffee but it has finally given up the ghost. It leaks water over the counter top and I became nervous about getting an electrical shock. So I purchased this Mr. Coffee pot bottom line it stinks. It does not produce a good cup of coffee and it always has coffee grounds in the cup. I wish Norelco was still in the coffee pot business.

i mean, come on! a big brand name like Mr. Coffee, and the product dies after 6 weeks? I had to go out today to buy a replacement. Luckily, Kohl's has a good customer-centric return policy, so they let me replace it with a white Black & Decker BCM1410B 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe.
