5.0 out of 5 stars Better Get Them Now
These filters get 5 stars because they appear to be the ONLY filters available for the 4 Cup Mr Coffee Maker.
I bought my coffee maker at Target, couldn't find the filters for it and thought, oh well, I 'll just get them at the supermarket. Not available at the 4 markets I checked. Then I thought, I'll get them at [...]. They don't carry them. Then, I tried...

2.0 out of 5 stars Save money & buy @ supermarket!
Wish I paid attention..I ordered this & it was shipping from " It took three weeks for delivery even though it said it was already shipped & estimated delivery was 9 days. Well it took 21 days! Shipping & Handling price was ridiculous as well. Product was ok but could have gotten anywhere else without the hassel. Would not recommend ordering from Polsteins HomeandBeyond...

5.0 out of 5 stars Better Get Them Now, August 24, 2007

These filters get 5 stars because they appear to be the ONLY filters available for the 4 Cup Mr Coffee Maker.
I bought my coffee maker at Target, couldn't find the filters for it and thought, oh well, I 'll just get them at the supermarket. Not available at the 4 markets I checked. Then I thought, I'll get them at [...]. They don't carry them. Then, I tried MrCoffee.com. Nope. I called the 1-800 number in my owners manual and customer service told me they no longer make filters for this machine and that I could purchase them at any supermarket. Maybe at her local supermarket in India, but not mine in Pennsylvania.
So....if you just bought this coffee maker like I did, don't throw out the box or the reciept as quickly as I did.
Or, you can do what I'm about to do, and purchse as many as these filters as possible (they don't make a gold filter anymore either!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Mr. Coffee 4-cup Filters, January 7, 2008
This review is from: Mr. Coffee Basket Coffee Filters, 4 Cup, White Paper, 100-Count Boxes (Pack of 12) (Kitchen)
I have had trouble with many 4-cup filters that are commonly available in the grocery stores. They do not always conform properly to the filter basket and allow much of the hot water to drip directly into the pot. The Mr Coffee filters maintain the correct degree of stiffness and always work properly.

(Edit to my own review. Pictured is the brand name, I was suggesting the plain generic pleated 4 cup coffee filters much cheaper, easy to find, and work just as well if you are pinching pennies like many of us are. And they work fine also in a 2 cup maker.....)

I've had several 4 cup coffee makers, one was a Mr Coffee that conked. Some called for cone shape, however these can be used in any type, and I prefer paper over the gold mesh permanent ones that make a more acid taste coffee. Now I have a new even smaller 2 cup maker, Brew 'n go, very small included mesh filter, these work fine too, just scrunch them down. However, I just found this size in Walgreen's last week, store brand, had a coupon for 200 for 99c. I should have snapped up a year supply. When I couldn't find this small 4 cup size before I got the 6 cup size and cut the tops off with a scissors, or just use a paper napkin which I have to do when I can't find small ones. I've bought this size at Target before but they don't stock many so it's now and then. When you rinse the filter basket and put one in while it is damp, they mold in place easily, even the 6 cup ones.

Hope this helps if you have Walgreen's. Found at Safeway too, but they are always the store brand if you dig thru the shelf and get lucky.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Filters, January 7, 2010

I love my coffee. My son gave me a "Mr. Coffee" coffee maker for Christmas. I like it so much that I thought I would try Mr. Coffee filters.

Coffee filters are important to a good cup of coffee. Some friends kid me about this, but coffee contains diterpenes* that appear to increase the risk of coronary disease. Although metal filters are of little help, good paper filters remove these organic compounds. The "Mr. Coffee" filters are made of 100g/cm2 creped paper which is ideal for proper filtering.

So, I like these filters and recommend them for my fellow coffee lovers.

* Diterpenes come from the oily components of coffee beans. Scientific tests have demonstrated that only paper filters made of 100 g/cm2 paper sufficiently remove this acid.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far, the only acceptable filter, August 17, 2010

The first filters I found were at Walmart. I don't remember the brand, but they were hard to separate, and a few times, until I got the feel of a single filter, I unintentionally used a double one. When they were used up, I returned to Walmart and found a total absence of 4-cup basket filters. I checked Target; no luck either. I finally found Melitta filters at a hardware store. They were even worse than the first brand. Many times, I had to cut a small "V" notch at the edge of a joined filter pair in order to separate them. Finally, gave up and ordered a two-year supply from Amazon and threw away the remaining Melitta filters. The Mr. Coffee filters will separate without tools, though sometimes it's a bit fiddly. And the creases are uniform and sufficient so that they always fit the basket perfectly.

It's apparent that Sunbeam, the parent corporation of Mr Coffee, is not interested in direct retail sales. The box containing the dozen boxes of 100 had the corporate name all over it, and is probably the way the product is shipped to retailers.

Mr. Coffee has always been a dependable brand for me and these filters are no different. They fit perfectly in my four cup brewer (yes, Mr. Coffee) and work as well as any filter I've used.

I find that these filters are the most consistent in fit, easiest to seperate and do the best job of filtering.

Best thing to use in 4-cup Mr Coffee pot. Very hard to find sometimes, even in stores. Generic filters let coffee grounds to into coffee. Don't like to chew my coffee.

I only wish that Mr. Coffee's 4-cup coffee pots were as good as their filters.
