By the way, nothing has ever broken, chipped, come loose, failed to work, etc.

My Mrs. Tea was a gift from my mom. Originally it was meant for my husband who drinks ice tea everyday, but I started using it too. It brews perfectly and is the right amount each time. We enjoy our Chai every evening after dinner. Perfect for bagged or loose tea since it has a removeable filter. Very well made.

We were so excited to find a brand new Mrs. Tea on amazon.com. We had one that we used for 8-9 years and when the heating element "died," we were so disappointed to learn that the product was no longer being manufactured. The tea pot arrived, new (as advertized) and well within the shipping time. We are very satisfied.

I've had my Mrs. Tea since it was first sold -- who knows when that was?? I didn't get it here but if you can afford the current market price, it's sure well worth the investment. I've never had a bit of trouble with mine. It brews tea, or even heats plain old water, at the perfect temperature, and keeps it that way. You can make as little or as much tea as will fill the darling ceramic pot, no problem. The filters are easy to find, cheap and you can get them in huge quantities at many places. Mrs. Tea uses the equivalent of Melitta, or other brands, "Junior Basket" coffee filters, flat bottom, "fits most 4-6 cup coffemakers." Buy the filters bleached, unbleached, whatever you prefer.

The Mrs. Tea upper basket is easy to clean and you can stick it in the dishwasher if you wish, along with the ceramic teapot. You know what I especially love about the whole thing? The little ceramic lid that fits over the top of the filter basket assembly is also the teapot top. Very clever indeed. The top also has the little tab inside to keep the top from falling off when you pour your tea, as well as an air hole so it will pour properly and easily. Many contemporary teapots skip those and that's a real annoyance if they're missing. By the way, nothing has ever broken, chipped, come loose, failed to work, etc. The ceramics and plastics are sturdy and the entire product is very simple, less to go wrong.

There's a little sliding lever on the front of the basket assembly that lets you adjust the brewed tea strength. I quickly learned this isn't necessary. You want stronger tea? Put more loose tea in the filter basket. Weaker tea -- less loose tea. Then make sure the lever is set for the strongest brewing, all the way to the right. Very easy, no fussing.

I was very sad when I found out that Mrs. Tea was discontinued... I looked all over for them. I finally had to settle for a used one on eBay, which did serve me quite well. But then I found that Amazon got there hands on a brand new one!! I drink hot tea probably every day, and Mrs. Tea will never fail me. Thank you Amazon and I wish that Mr. Coffee would re-continue manufacturing these great products.

I am on my third Mrs Tea. The first bought when they first came out which lasted for 20 yrs+. I found one in a thrift shop, still in its box and never opened and I bought that ten years before the original one died - paid less than $10! Found two more, not in boxes, at a Goodwill type store for less than $5 and bought those years ago just as back ups. The one I am using I think is about to go and that leaves me using my last one. When I saw this price, there is NO way I will pay that much money. I'll keep looking around for them in thrift stores or on Ebay. Even used, you can take them apart, and clean them so you feel comfortable using it.

This is a very well-built, well thought-out tea maker. When the coffee maker I was using to make tea started malfunctioning, I started to look for a replacement and was pleasantly surprised to see that I could get a brand-new Mrs. Tea that had been kept in the sealed box all these years since production ended on them. I read all the reviews on the latest models from other manufacturers but just kept coming back to the Mrs. Tea for both price and user comments on it. I'd wanted one years ago when they were first introduced so I decided to go for it, and am I ever happy I did! The ceramic teapot is perfect for the amount to fill my two travel-mugs of tea each day, and perfect to microwave the next day if I happen to miss the second travel-mug some day. The design is beautiful and stylish, and the pot doesn't dribble when I'm pouring it, like the coffee maker's glass carafe did. I'm not so sure the brew-strength regulator really works, but it's an unnecessary feature anyway. Several people have made positive comments about it as they pass through the office. Now I just hope it never breaks so I don't have to try to find another just like it. Come on, Mr. Coffee, put these puppies back into production!

I had one of these 10 years ago and it broke. When I ran across this I had to have it. It arrived in clean and perfect condition.
