The Mr. Coffee line of iced tea makers are decent products and we've now had three different ones in the last 10 years or so, mainly because the pitchers don't last long. They seem to be made of the same composite plastic as the original 2 qt maker/pitchers we first bought.

We didn't pay much for the maker at our local Wal-Mart, but it's the idea that you will have to buy a replacement pitcher in less than a year that gets to me. So once you pay about $20 for the iced tea maker kit, you will have to pay another $10-15 for a replacement pitcher if you can find one locally (plus tax), or online (plus shipping).

I think it's the fact that the hot water over the cold ice tends to make the pitcher get hairline cracks. I always hand wash it and take great care to gently add the ice instead of simply throwing it in.

The handle is much more comfortable than previous versions. I just wish it would last longer, that's all.

I have bought 3 or 4 makers in the past 3 - 4 years just to get another pitcher. The pitchers ALWAYS crack even though I handwash them. So becoz of the price of the replacement pitchers, it is almost as cheap just to buy another new tea maker since there are usually TWO pitchers in with the maker. I tried something new with my last pitcher and this pitcher has no cracks..I NEVER add ice. I only add water to the pitcher and then serve the tea over ice. It must be the hot tea dripping onto the ice that cracks the pitchers. I hope this solves my problem with cracked pitchers. I really like the tea it makes.

Mr. Coffee needs to come out with a top of the line Ice Tea Maker/Pitcher. It would be cheaper in the long run to have spent twice as much on the product and it last for years.
This is the 10th pitcher I've used in 3 years, always washing by hand like you're supposed to.

The Mr. Coffee tea maker is wonderful. Makes great tea. The pitcher however will break after only a couple months of use. It is also not dishwasher safe which makes it a pain to clean by hand. If only Mr. Coffee could make one that would last.

Fantastic replacement and super fast. I couldn't ask for a better replacement.(Wish the product were designed better, to last longer, but that certainly is a manufacturer situation!)

This is a great idea for a tea making product, but I'm pretty angry at the fact that the manufacturer makes the product to fail, consequently they make more money on a supposedly cheap product. What you don't pay up front in price, you end up paying in the long run for replacement parts. Also, it's BAD, BAD, BAD for the environment, which runs true to form with most of the mentality of people...consume, waste, consume, waste. It's disgusting. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for this manufacturer to redesign their product. After all, they want to rip us off for all they can at the expense of decency and our environment. It would be great for some other company to make a decent tea maker and compete with this lame product.

Just what I was needing the tea maker still works good but the pitcher was cracked so glad I found them on line didn't want to have to buy a new tea pot when there was nothing wrong with it just the pitchers crack. Thanks again arrived fast and was perfect.

The pitcher fits the tea maker that I have. I did not realize that it was a 3 quart by the pitcher. I would have preferred a 1 quart or two quart.

Like most people, I love the convenience, this was my second unit only because my ex ran off with the first one, but I hate that I'm buying another pitcher in less than a year. And I have NEVER used ice in this one! Not one single time. It's cracked in two places; just below the spout and near the handle. Don't blame anyone but the manufacturer for this defective product. I am really disappointed and am looking at other products to replace the Mr. Coffee. Three stars only for the convenience and ease of use.

It was exactly as described and is the correct item I needed. It arrived within a couple of days and so far its working great.
