5.0 out of 5 stars Great
Good looking, easy to use, great coffee. Using the "strong" setting we use about 1/3 less coffee than in out old coffee maker. No bells or whistles, just a good inexpensive machine.

1.0 out of 5 stars VERY Disappointed!
The only feature I like about this coffee maker is the stronger/weaker brew setting as we do like the stronger brew but even at that it isn't worth the money! It is a little more difficult to fill the water reservoir without spilling everwhere. Can't pull the carafe out mid-brewing to fill our cups without a mess everywhere. It was more money and I have had better luck...

I buy products/books on Amazon by the stars and comments from people.... I'm only telling the truth as I see it! Beware!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst coffeemaker ever made, October 7, 2007
This coffee maker lasted a few weeks, then parts fell apart and coffee poured outside the pot. It is truly amazing that this coffee machine ever made it to the market. The filterholder especially is the worst piece of idiotic design and deserve a special price on its own. Obviously you need to give it at least 1 star to post this review but it does not deserve it.

4.0 out of 5 stars We Love this Machine, December 31, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is our second purchase of the exact same machine. The first one lasted a few years, maybe 3 or so. But it as so handy for us, with the regular or extra-strong brew cycles, the easy pour and simple functionality of the unit. You can just fill it, press the button and you are done. We use only home roasted coffee - we buy green beans and roast them ourselves - and this is believe it or not the best unit. We've tried the fancy ones and even an espresso maker, but we are back to basics. The simpler the design, the less parts to go wrong.

My only complaint is the ability to pour while it's running a cycle. You are supposed to be able to pull out the carafe and pour a cup before the coffee begins running all over the heating element. We find that, if the pot is full, it works fine. But if you go to try to take coffee before it's near the top, it will fail. Maybe it's just ours. We don't tend to do that anyway, but just something we noticed. Also, the carafe gets filled with black crud from old batches of coffee, and you need to carefully clean the carafe each time or you will get drops of black coffee water on your counter when you pour in the new batch of water. Use the sprayer at your sink if you have one and spray the inside hole - that removes most of that black old coffee from in there.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a very good product, July 14, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Product seems to make ok coffee, but the carafe is so small at the top that you can't get in to wash it properly. Another item that the manufacture didn't test before they brought it to market.

1.0 out of 5 stars sent the wrong color coffee pot, March 30, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased a white coffee pot and was sent a black one.
These people do not carry a white one. I had to re-package the black pot, find a ups store and ship it back to them. They did send a letterstating a refund.

This review is from: Mr. Coffee TFX20GTF 12-Cup Coffee Maker, Black (Kitchen)
i ordered black i received white.a cup as defined by mr. coffee is 5 oz while the generally accepted food standard is 8 oz. this is not spelled out in their advertising and is considered by my self to be deceptive and misleading. their reputation does not need to be sullied by some inept marketing personality.
