No I didn't read it and never would,

I know this is going to piss some people off but I don't care. I read the excerpts and back cover of this book through the preview. It reads like elementary literature, very Dick and Jane-esque. It is so very sad that a great number Black "authors" are getting in the game and offering this type of garbage under the guise of real literary content. It's even worse that so many are willing to promote and hype utter sorry-ness just because the author is Black and they want to relate or they have a nice look.
We have seen this happen over and over again in the music industry in the past 8-10 years, so much so that it has ruined music. Set higher standards for any type of artist. Require authors to use spell check and a competent editor instead of allowing this type of crap to be published and praised by the masses. I am also surprised that reputable online review sites are giving this book props when it's clear as day by the snippets you can find online that it's a hot mess. I mean really, diabolic (should have been diabolical) and blackexplotation (blaxploitation). A simple dictionary/thesaurus can solve many problems. Merriam-Webster is selling all day everywhere.

Errors for days. Grammatical...for days!
Story would be good if a dumbass wasn't the editor. Waste of my loot, returned it 4.74 with muddy footprints on it. Lunch money.

This book is just the type of book that we need in this day and age. This book tells a very realistic story of Darren Wade a 30 something, single, successful, good looking black male, with the whole package.... only problem is that he is HIV+. He goes on a revenge induced frenzy and decides to infect and any and every woman who will sleep with him with HIV/AIDS. Although it does appear that Darren has a heart I think that he really was hurt in his past relationships and finding out his HIV status was the real icing on the cake. That is the positive about the book. Now for the bad stuff..... I am sorry to say it but the book comes off as VERY low-budget, despite the $20 (soft-cover) price tag. There are many grammatical errors that quite frankly could have VERY easily been picked up by the grammar check in MS Word. A few tweaks to the storyline would have been nice and would have made the storyline a bit more realistic. Although the reading the book with the grammatical errors was a bit unnerving (being the daughter of an English teacher)I still think that EVERYONE that is sexually active should read the book... especially if you have unprotected sex with anyone who's HIV status you are unsure of.

I really could not put this book down. It held my attention from page one. The storyline was great and the author followed through until the ending. I was just so amazed how raw my feelings would be against Darren Wade. I must say I hated him on one hand and was praying for him on the other. The book is a must read because the story is on the real life side of life. This was not a down low brother and he wasn't gay....he was just mean and hurtful. The anger he had ran deep down in his soul.
I was amazed at the knowledge the author had about HIV?AIDS and how he broke it down for the reader to understand. I hope more people read this book...it is raw...it is direct...it is excellent for today's world.

Catch Me If You Can,

Mr. HIV by I.B. Freeman is an enthralling account of Derran's life as an entrepreneur as well as an Adonis. Derran has no regard for the female species, meaning if you are willing he is able to supply and fulfill your every desire. Derran runs through women like water running from a faucet. Never stopping to smell the roses or to really enjoy life, Derran is only out to satisfy himself.
While Derran is exposed to the death of one of his close friends by the AIDS virus, he still refuses to slow down and change his lifestyle. Feeling on top of the world, nothing can stop him from his philandering ways until he falls in love and is hit with a surprise that will leave him reeling. While this story unfolds and introduces readers to some major characters, and players, it also shares the story of HIV and the AIDS virus. Mr. Freeman's account is down-to-earth, heart-wrenching and his characters are phenomenal. Stay tuned and see the demise of Derran as he infects everyone he comes across. Breaking up marriages and causing havoc wherever he goes, can he right his wrongs or will he continue on the path of self destruction? I recommend this book to readers of all genres. important subject matter seriously poor execution,

a painful read...I had to read this for my book club and was loathed to spend the $18 for this as I would NEVER have bothered to buy this otherwise. I'm amazed that this "author" could seriously attach his name to this, publish and sell it AS IS. I saw mention of an "editor" but that must have been a mistake. This book is littered with typos. Even if you wanted to forgo paying an editor for the actual editing process...HELLO!! Microsoft word has a grammar and spellcheck tool. For such an important subject matter the real tragedy of this story is that this novel, Mr HIV, consists of poor grammar, typos too numerous to count and a poorly executed plot and storyline. Maybe it's too much to ask a writer to...well....WRITE WELL...

Scared Straight,

Author I.B Freeman gives us the raw deal on a title that I think most people are scared to read about, much less discuss. I commend Author I.B on tackling such a topic that should be in the forefront of everyone's mind. I believe everyone whether white, black, green, yellow, brown or purple should read this book. While this is work of fiction, there really have been cases of this where a person knew they were HIV positive and was intentionally trying to give to everyone they come in contact with.
Darren the main character has it going on. He is in his 30's, a ladies man, 6 foot 6, has his own crib, a great job, nice SUV - he is every woman's dream man. When Darren finds out he is H.I.V. positive he becomes EVERYONE'S worst nightmare. He becomes a man with a plan to infect any woman whom he can, no matter age, race, or marital status. This book is very well written and the story flows. All the characters are very believable. Even the story line is believable. This book reminds me of the scared straight series that were used to keep kids from going to jail when I was kid. If this book doesn't scare you in some way I would be shocked. I believe the author did a lot of research for this book. The only draw back I saw was he didn't list any references on where to get info or where people can go for help if need be. I HIGHLY recommend this book to all ages, races and gender. SiStar Tea ARC Book Club Inc. 5 Star rating

I've read Mr H.I.V and found it a very interesting read. The story was well put together. The plot read smoothly and overall was a great book. I only hope that it gets out there more, and will open eyes to this plight. Hope to see more writing from the author

IB Freeman really has a winner with this book. It was a great book from beginning, middle, and end. I liked the fact that it was informative because not a lot of people know about the dangers of having unprotected sex and some like some of the characters in the book don't care. I have read a lot of books but this one is without a doubt my favorite. Mr. Freeman is my new favorite author and I can't wait for whatever other books he writes I am gonna share my book with some of my family members because they need to know and I think that it will benefit them in the look run. I think that we need to educate our sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephrews especailly the young because they are going out in the world blindly wanting to party, have sex with any and everyone not giving a care thinking that they can't get an STD, AIDS, or HIV and this book will prove to them that their wrong their have been cases where men and women have purposely set out to infect as many people as they can because someone infected them just like Darren did. I applaud IB and hopes that he continues to stay blessed and conintues to write because he has a gift.
