Go ahead and spend the money for this. The heater works a lot better with the fan on and this adapter provides a lot more blowing power than the batteries.

Think Mr. Heater should be ashamed to make a portable heater with a blower that only works on 120V power and not include the 6V adapter, but i won't jade this review with my rage.

seriously, this is just a plug. maybe 6-ft long so you will likely have to use it with an extension cord depending on where you place the Big Buddy Heater.

Does what it says, powers the blower on a portable heater.

This product works well, makes the fan run faster than with batteries. The only issue I have is it sticks out too far from the unit. I used the screw mounting holes to secure my big buddy to the wall, but because I have the AC adapter, my big buddy doesn't want to hang flush against the wall, so I just cut a hole in the wall where the cord comes out. The AC adapter works great, a must have, but it should have a 90 degree prong on it.

To those with any knowledge of the ways heat is conducted, this makes the already very efficient big buddy even more efficient!
After 3 years of use during cold Iowa winters, it has payed for itself several times over. The fan on the big buddy apparently is long-term and designed for reliability. Something we don't see much nowadays. This makes the A.C. adapter worth every penny.
I've seen a couple of negative reviews about the fan not blowing hard enough etc...It's not a blower! It just assures that no heat from the tiles is wasted by going straight up. What a difference!
I just bought another big buddy for my new shop. The A.C. adapter was a must, given the cost of disposable batteries and the very long-term use and abuse expected of this heater.
I hope they don't discontinue the model. I might need another eventually.

I highly recommend this adaptor vs. the battery route for the Big Buddy heater. Much more efficient and reliable. Plus it's cheap!

This is an excellent and necessary addition to your Big Buddy Heater.
If you have a power source (house or generator voltage) this keeps the blower going with out the worry of
having enough batteries. The blower helps move the hot air that would otherwise go straight up.
In a garage, shed or small barn with power this unit is great.

I use the Mr Heater Big Buddy propane heater and was going through too many batteries. I have run the heater fan with this adapter for 10+ hours at a time and love it. Easily worth the cost in battery savings.

Works great,blower fan is faster with this adapter than it was on battery power.I can stop buying those expensive alkaline batteries.Only downside is the unit gets rather hot while in use.

After going through batteries like madd decided to get one of these cords and see if its worth it. After running the heater non-stop for a week it held up just fine. I waited as I thought it was a little on the costly side but it was that or keep buying the batteries.
