5.0 out of 5 stars Lives up to name!!!
This album really lives up to it's title. I can't stop listening to it. "Prime Numbers" and "American Smooth Division" are my favs. Puts the new DJ Shadow album to shame. I hope they play Manhattan soon.

1.0 out of 5 stars This was a bad title for this album
Ok seriously this album is bad. Very bad. DO NOT LET THE NAME FOOL YOU! I listened to the album and it all sounds the same and not to mention terrible. Maybe their other albums were good I dunno yet but skip this one. This group is a mediocre Massive Attack and Radiohead basically. However this is my opinion if you want to take a listen to these guys but if you end up...

this is the only cd i've heard from this band. i really like the organic drums and how every song is different from one another yet sounds cohesive as an album. it's rare to hear a band that brings something new to the table.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bang bang ba-bang!, June 8, 2007
This review is from: Mr Kickass (Audio CD)
This album is more of an extended experiment in drum rhythms, like Aphex Twin, than typical dance or electronica. But where Aphex Twin explores melodies as well, TRS-80 tends to be about the banging. Precise use of distortion and samples make me want to eat it up. I will definitely be getting more TRS-80.

I also hear they are from my home town...it sickens me.
