Mr. Light Leaves Design Glass Solar Projection Lantern with Bronze Plated Finish

I got this BEAUTIFUL lantern and it lasted for a month and a half. Called the Manufacturers (Mr Light inc) to see if they could help me as it's one of their products. They were abrupt and off putting on the phone and through their e-mails. They said that because I didn't buy it directly from them I am not considered a customer and I'm not keeping them in business. Needless to say, I won't be replacing this item nor buying any other items from them. What a shame! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Here's my e-mail responses from MR Light inc... they sure do need some training in customer service:

"You are not our customer. That's the diff. You sure aren't keeping us in business. You didn't buy anything from us. Sorry if you don't understand the concept."

"You need to talk to whomever sold it to you.
If you had purchased it directly from us, we'd talk to you, but you didn't."

"You bought it from Amazon; you'll have to talk to them."

This lantern is nicer than I thought it would be.

Two things to consider before you buy:
1. It works the same as most solar lights - as long as it gets enough sun to charge the light, it is bright enough. Unfortunately, if there is not enough/no sun, the light won't charge and will be dim. You cannot use a regular battery as a back up.

2. This lantern can either sit on a flat surface, or attach to the ground with the stake provided. There isn't a way to hang it (which is how I had hoped to use it.)

If neither of the above is an issue for you, I recommend this item. In fact, I am ordering two more!

After about 3 weeks outdoors, all of the screws on this product rusted. It was our intent to use this product on a table top. The solar panel must to face up to charge (obviously), but the lamp must then be turned over to illuminate. This might work differently on a stake, but for table top use, it was a pain. We had to remember to flip it over before going in for the evening, or first thing in the morning, or it couldn't re-charge. Add this to the rusty screws, and we couldn't leave it on the table-top anyway, or we risked ruining the table and/or table cloth. After a month, it didn't work at all, while our cheapo $4 Ikea solar lights are still going strong 3 months later....

Very disappointed, I ended up recycling it, hope they can at least re-use the glass and metal.

This light has held up better than any other solar light we have purchased. We mounted them on a post and it projects a beautiful pattern on our patio. The light always comes on even in the winter. One night I saw an owl sitting on top of one and it still is like new!!!! I have never noticed any screws rusting like I read in another review. I would recommend these lights to anyone.

This lantern creates beautiful shadows, however if you are looking for a light that can hang or which will illuminate a surface well, this is not the right lantern. It is designed to project a pattern on a surface. That is a task which it does superbly. It always gets compliments from people who see it. On the other hand, I like most other purchasers wanted something that would illuminate an area well and preferably be able to hang from something. This it does not do. That I would want it to be something other than what it is, seems more my failing than that of the lantern.
