4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Read, May 27, 2009
This review is from: Mr. Malcolm's List (Paperback)
I started this book last evening. I finished this book last evening. What a great way to spend a few hours! Fans of Lauren Willig or Georgette Heyer will, I think, love this book.

Mr. Malcolm is a bit reminiscent of Mr. Darcy...stiff and unbending...in the beginning. He is very sought after in the ball rooms of Regency England and developed a defense...a list of qualifications for the right woman. A list of characteristics that is almost impossible to meet. However, a scorned debutante has a friend who is almost perfect for Mr. Malcolm and sends for Miss Dalton to become the instrument of her revenge.

This is a light tale of romance with laugh out loud moments.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful!, March 23, 2009
This review is from: Mr. Malcolm's List (Paperback)
I started reading this one night in the midst of insomnia hoping that eventually fatigue would set in but quite the opposite happened. The book completely entrapped my hyperactive brain and I finished it that night; well actually in the wee hours of the next morning. I loved it and my title of "Delightful" is my one-word pick for multi-faceted impressions. There is so much wit and humor in the author's writing that you actually feel your intellect is engaged. I am an avid reader & devoted Jane Austen fan but never gave "regency" style romances a chance. The book is light-hearted, fun & thoroughly romantic. And it had the wonderful quality of great story telling, the kind that helps you picture every scene, face & mood. I laughed out loud several times and when I was done reading all I could think is "I hope she writes more." But until she does I plan on reading this again, it was that delightful.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a fun read!, August 5, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Mr. Malcolm's List (Paperback)
I guess the other reviewers of this book have said what I am going to say also. It's a slight book, but it is charming, delightful, funny, well written and a great way to pass an hour (two, if you're a slow reader). I've ordered Incognito, which I see is even slighter, but am hoping is just as charming and funny.
