5.0 out of 5 stars Mr. Marmalade, August 11, 2007
This review is from: Mr. Marmalade - Acting Edition (Paperback)
This play is freaking hilarious. I can't stop laughing. A nice combination of dark humor and absurdist moments. Suicide, cocaine and porn are all thrust upon the innocence of children. When you catch your breath from laughing for a second, you realize there are some important themes that can be dissected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovably Insane, January 6, 2010

This review is from: Mr. Marmalade - Acting Edition (Paperback)
I read this play for the first time today and I loved it. The moments of absurdity, insanity and dark humor are wonderfully funny and the play in its entirety is endlessly amusing. I'd love to attend a performance of this play some day! Despite its seeming insanity, when one thinks of the play having finished it, there is much meaning to be savored.

4.0 out of 5 stars Disturbing and urgent commentary on the changing family dynamic, November 17, 2011

This play is an envelope-pushing gem. I really enjoyed it. It's pretty much what you'd expect from reading the synopsis. Haidle writes a pressing and perturbing world built to let us experience the oft-spoken about but rarely well-articulated idea that "the kids aren't alright". A pertinent, clever, and surreal comedy for these modern times.
