This is a great book set containing 6 books. My 2 1/2 yr old son loves all of them and wants to read them over and over. They are silly, creative and also teach about different emotions, moods, states of being, etc...While the photo on the actual case does show all of the books from the series, the description clearly states that it is only a six book set and which of the six from the series are included. I think we definitely got our money's worth from this set.

The Mr Men Gift Set is an excellent and affordable set of some of the best books in Roger Hargreave's Mr Men series. The set includes Mr Tickle (the first in the series), Mr Happy (probably the best), Mr Noisy, Mr Funny, Mr Messy, and Mr Brave.

Roger Hargreaves' stories are short, simple, and easy for kids to follow, with just enough alliteration to make it fun. His pictures are bright and bring the story to life. My two year-old loves for me to read all of these books to him - these are his favorite books.

The first five are original Roger Hargreaves books, but Mr Brave was written by his son Adam after Roger's death. Mr Brave does not live up to the standard set by the "real" Mr Men books originally written by Roger Hargreaves, but the other five are excellent stories for young children. Also, because these older ones are difficult to find in the U.S., it's a great deal to get all six books in this affordable set.

The picture makes it look like the books come in a box type container, it's really just a large folded piece of cardboard with the books slid into flaps. The book choice is great!

My kids loved Little Miss and Mr. Mister books when they were little, so I thought it would be a great surprise for my 23 year-old son to buy the complete set of them for Christmas. $149 was a bit steep, but I figured there would be about 50 books. Imagine my surprise when it showed up with SIX books! IT IS NOT a tall tin like the picture shows. It is a hunk of cardboard folded open to make it look like a tin of all the books. I am spitting mad right now and had better be able to return this item.

My five year old son discovered Mr. Men on Cartoon Network and after he had enjoyed the shows, about a month or so, we stumbled across a pair of socks with Little Miss Sunshine on them. Well, that began my hunt for anything Mr. Men. I had no idea that they were originally books. So when I discovered the books on Amazon, I had to buy every one. But being that there are so many, I chose this gift set for my little guy. And I was so pleased with them. How sweet and entertaining they are!

There are six books in this great gift set-
Mr. Happy- who teaches Mr. Miserable to be happy.
Mr. Tickle- who has a glorious day tickling people with his long, stretchy arms.
Mr Messy- who comes upon Mr. Neat and Mr. Tidy who teach him how to be neat.
Mr. Brave- who proves how brave he is by not missing 'tea' with Miss bossy.
Mr. Funny- who makes all the sad animals of the zoo laugh.
Mr. Noisy- (my son's all time favorite) is noisy and learns to be quiet.

Great reading. Every book has a simple lesson and is told in a witty way that keeps my son laughing. I enjoy the books more than the cartoon series (although the cartoons are extremely enjoyable) and intend to buy many more. I'm so glad I discovered them!

The item description is misleading. This item RETAILS for less than what the sellers here are charging. Go to a bookstore and you can get it for less. The description and picture appear to bed for the larger set. This only includes 6 books. If you pay more than 15 then you're being ripped off.

I was extremely disappointed with this item. I couldn't tell from the original information how many books were included; there were six. When you look at the picture, it looks like a square box, but it is not. It is long, flat and folded. There is no way to keep this gift box in a bookcase or anywhere else for that matter, so I will have to remove the books and throw away the gift box. There were six Mr. Men books and the retail price printed on the item was $16.99, but I paid $40 plus $3.99 shipping. I've loved the Roger Hargreaves books since my kids were little and wanted to share them with my grandchildren, but I think the way this was marketed was a real rip-off.

I was expecting more books I was actually looking for the entire series so I was a little dissapointed when it was only 6 books. My kids enjoy them.

What a wonderful set My children enjoy these books as much as I did when I was a kid. I am glad to see they are still around. They are great way to help children to understand feelings and actions.
