4.0 out of 5 stars Foreigner - Lou's Return!!, January 16, 2006
After about a 11 year absence, Lou Gramm finally made it back to Foreigner or what was left of Foreigner. This line up included Lou Gramm, Mick Jones, Bruce Turgon (Lou Gramm, Shadow King) & Jeff Jacobs (Mick Jones, Two Fires). This was a much overlooked CD because of the time it came out (1995). But don't let that fool you, this is a very good solid CD. It has elements of old Foreigner but they were looking at going in a different direction. Standouts are: Under The Gun, Rain, Hole In My Soul & Hand On My Heart. If you can find it cheap, pick it up, you will be surprised.

4.0 out of 5 stars Has the familiar Foreigner sound, March 24, 2004

This is a good, not great album. I was surprised when I purchased this cd to find some nice hidden gems. This cd isn't as good as their early stuff but you can catch glimpses of their former glory. This album is kind of on par with the Inside Information album. If you liked that one then give this one a try.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lackluster reunion album, July 30, 2007
Much like Journey's short-lived 1996 reunion with vocalist Steve Perry, Lou Gramm's return to Foreigner failed to live up to expectations. You'd think that a reunited Foreigner would also be a reenergized Foreigner, but there's no sign of that on the band's 1995 effort Mr. Moonlight.

Maybe the guys' hearts just weren't in it, or maybe the grunge-obsessed musical climate at the time was just too hostile to Foreigner's brand of AOR. Whatever the reason, Mr. Moonlight comes across as an uninspired and perfectly forgettable ghost of past Foreigner albums. I can't pin this failure on any individual performance. Lou's vocals are solid and musically everything seems to be working. I guess the songwriting is to blame. There are a couple of bright moments (White Lie and Hand on My Heart) as well as a real head-scratcher (Big Dog), but for the most part this is an album of run of the mill lite rock songs that lack the dynamic quality that made past Foreigner albums, including (hell, especially) the Gramm-less Unusual Heat, so impressive.

It's a shame that this is all we have to close out Foreigner's legacy, but the band opted not to issue another studio album, with or without Lou Gramm. That's even more unfortunate when you consider the fact that their current touring vocalist - Hurricane's Kelly Hansen - is more than talented enough to contribute to a successful Foreigner studio album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Damn shame!
It is ridiculous that this album didn't receive any exposure. This is a classic! Standout tracks: "Till the End of Time" and "I Keep Hoping". Again, it's a damn shame!
