When I saw this movie, the first thing I noticed was how great the music was. And I'm not talking the various artists bit...I mean the original score. I'm SO glad they decided to release this. Too often, you can only find half of the soundtrack. I'd have to say this is one of Powell's best works, probably even better than the Bourne scores. This music is awesome, most of it being either Spanish or tango. Not only does it fit the movie perfectly, it's a great listen by itself. The themes are catchy, the guitar solos are sweet! There are 19 cuts on it, and it's almost 45 minutes long. This is an awesome CD! Get it if you love great soundtracks.

When this CD came out, I ordered it immediately, without watching the movie first. Since I live in Holland and the movie wasn't out here yet. I'm a huge fan of John Powell's scores and I'm glad (again) I bought this score.

The score sounds a little bit like 'The Italian Job' with a spanish flavour to it, because of the percussion and the accoustic guitars. Although the tracks are new and refreshing, I found out that small pieces of music in the film are not on the cd. Like: the 'house fight' part with al the percussion instruments. It's on the cd ('Kiss and Make Up - I believe), and it's a brilliant piece of percussion, but it's not the same as in the movie (that sounded better to me).

Second: the cd is a little on the short side. The total play length of the soundtrack is only 44 minutes. A lot of tracks (19) all relatively short, but... different. So you'll get a lot of different tracks swinged at your ears without to much repeating melody's. Something to get used to after listening to the more monotone Bourne Identity soundtrack.

Nevertheless a brilliant soundtrack, a must have for the John Powell score fans!

John Powell is still a relative un-known in the world of film music with co-projects like Shrek, but some of his best work is on Bourne Identity and Supremacy. This film shows his versatilty as a composer. When I went to see the movie it was only for the music but the film itself was actually enjoyable and the music fit it perfectly with every hit and sync point!

Great score, one of the years best so far!

I have both the score and the soundtrack to this movie and I really like both. I can't say anything that hasn't already been said in other reviews so I won't try. It's great music!!

Brilliant Spanish guitary and fast-paced score. Not always listenable, but when you've seen the movie, the score is easy to enjoy.

I liked the music in the movie but the soundtrack is vastly different than the movie. A lot of the same thing.

This is the first movie score I've purchased and I'm very happy with it. The music is amazing and makes you want to get up and dance. I also bought the Mr. and Mrs. Smith soundtrack which is very good but I like this even better.

This soundtrack is very good. It has 19 tracks. It all mixed with highs and lows. For example, for track 5, it is a bomb. After the kind of "romance" start, it gets real bumpy in the second half of the music. It does happens the same when I listened tracks and tracks in it. So, it will make me soft or rock. So, quite mixed but it is a totally a bomb in this soundtrack.

The best musical cut of the whole movie is when Jane and John are drunk and sensuallly dancing at the beginning of the movie. This cut is played again when Jane is trying to let go of her memories of John as she is preparing to kill him. Does anyone know the name of that cut and the artist who performed that instrumental? It keeps playing hauntingly thru my head.

The film was extremely fun and the music complimented it perfectly.
