5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect solution for extending the reach of your vac!

This is a good quality hose and it will replace the worn out hose that came with your shop vac but there is something else to consider. Although this hose will fit into a standard shop vac the accessories that came with your shop vac such as the extension tube, crevice tool, etc. MAY NOT FIT THE OTHER END OF THIS NEW HOSE! only Mr. Nozzles accessories or accessories that...

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect solution for extending the reach of your vac!, November 16, 1999
This review is from: Mr. Nozzle M-100-DB Wet/Dry Vac Tool Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
Finally someone has developed a product that eliminates the hassle of using a wet/dry vac. I no longer have to keep repositioning my cannister as this extension hose reaches far beyond the original hose that came with my vac. I really appreciate the quality of this hose too. It is just like the commercial ones used at the car washes. I was eager to use the Mr. Nozzle swivel cuff as this now allows me to pull the hose in any direction without disturbing the cannister and having it occasionally tip over. This product also says that it will increase the airflow from my vac and it certainly does. The pick up from my vac increased dramatically. All in all, this product performs as stated and beyond. What a wonderful addition to my shop accessories!

This is a good quality hose and it will replace the worn out hose that came with your shop vac but there is something else to consider. Although this hose will fit into a standard shop vac the accessories that came with your shop vac such as the extension tube, crevice tool, etc. MAY NOT FIT THE OTHER END OF THIS NEW HOSE! only Mr. Nozzles accessories or accessories that use a 1 1/2" I.D. hose end will fit this hose, and Mr. Nozzle does not have alot of accessories to go with this hose so you may end up with a great hose but a poor nozzle etc. at the end of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great hose, oddball size, October 31, 2004
This review is from: Mr. Nozzle M-100-DB Wet/Dry Vac Tool Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is an excellent hose. It's very flexible and the long length means you don't have to drag the vac around as much. BEWARE...the fitting end of the hose is 1-1/2", not the standard 1-1/4". The fittings that came with your shop vac probably won't fit! Don't buy Mr. Nozzle's brush or extension tubes thinking that they will fit Mr. Nozzle hose. They don't! That's right, some of the fittings they sell don't fit their own hose. If you want to use your existing 1-1/4" fittings, buy the Mr. Nozzle 1-1/2" to 1-1/4" adapter (part #17). The hose by itself is 5 stars, but the #@!%$ goofy size makes it only 3 stars.

Very good hose overall. We use it most commonly with an older Sears large wet/dry shop vac. It is a far more practical hose than those provided with most vacuums; it has a far better combination of flexibility, length and resistance to crush (including under vacuum load) than the other OEM or replacement hoses available from Sears and several other manufactures. Be aware though that it has a smaller hose diameter than typical 2-1/2 vac hoses and that it does not come with an adapter to directly fit the female intake ports on 2-1/2" hose vacuums. You will probably need at least a male to male adapter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well designed hose, May 15, 2007

I bought this kit to get the hose and had 2 reasons. The hose that came with my Rigid shop vac was only about 6 feet long and so stiff that it was always binding up in use. Mr Nozzle hose solves both since its twice as long and is very flexible. Both end adapters are made of a pliable rubber-like material, which produces a nice snug fit that doesn't pull loose accidentally. The black end fits my shop vac dust port perfectly. The gray end is smaller with a 1.5" ID since it is designed to connect to portable tools. The neat part is that the gray end swivels completely and is very effective in keeping the hose from binding up as you move around. If you need the gray end to be the same size as the black, just shove in a standard 1.5" adapter that most stores carry. I wanted to transition the gray end to a smaller size. Mr Nozzle does make a variety of adapters, but good luck finding somebody that sells them! I found a pliable mini step adapter (#815898) from Woodcraft (mail order or at store - not on web) for $4 that fit both my Bosch and PC sanders, and my bandsaw to boot. I am very pleased with my purchases.

I'm very pleased with this sturdy 2"OD x 1 3/8"ID hose. 12' is a good length and keeps the noise of the vac away. It is crush and collapse proof but that also means that it is a little stiff when attaching to power tools. 2 1/4" end fits fine into shop vacs and the rotating cuff end is 1 1/2" ID and 1 3/4" OD and slightly elastic. I plan to use 1 1/2" PVC and brass drain parts for custom connections to my tools. The included claw and long nozzle are well made and I just might have to buy the floor attachment, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the kind of vacuum hose you want!, December 5, 2003
This review is from: Mr. Nozzle M-100-DB Wet/Dry Vac Tool Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought the hose for a Craftsman to replace a hose that pinched and clogged. Compared to the Sears hose, there is no comparison. This hose is infinitely more flexible and strong. The Sears (and any others I investigated) were cheap and a nuisance to handle.

If there were a downside, it would be that the inside diameter of the hose is smaller and therefore, the hose storage Sears engineered won't work. But I plan to engineer my own and even if that didn't work, it's still worth it.

In addition to its flexibility, this hose is also stronger and six feet longer than the one that came with the vacuum. So now, when you vacuum the inside of a car, you can open one door and do the whole car instead of moving from one side of the car to the other because the hose is too short or inflexible.

Bottom line, this hose is as good as you would hope it would be and is worth every penny.

I have had my ShopVac for over five years now and I always found it a hassle when vacuuming out my car. I would have to roll it to one side and then pull it all the way around to get to the other side. Occasionally this would be impractical because my wife's vehicle would be in the garage at the same time and there would be no room. With this new nozzle, the vacuum can remain in one central position in the garage and easily reach both sides of the car, both front and back seats as well. The extra long hose really makes a difference. I have also noticed that this nozzle produces a much more powerful suction than the one that came with the ShopVac. Even with a dirty filter the suction was strong. The only problem I had when I first got it was some difficulty getting the nozzle mounted onto the hose. It was so tight I thought that it might have been the wrong size. After awhile it finally slid on fully and I have no intention of ever taking it off. I highly recommend this product.

This product is made for hardcore use it will last a very long time.It looks and feels like a commercial product. There is only one drawback, you do not receive the brush attachment.Kind of a bummer when you buy it for your cars.I do not mind paying a good price for a well made item.

This review is from: Mr. Nozzle M-100-DB Wet/Dry Vac Tool Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have this hooked to a Sears Shop Wet/Dry Vacuum. As others have noted, the attachment size is a little "non-standard", probably due to the fact that the hose fits over the tools instead of sliding in them. Nonetheless, the hose and swivel are easy to use and the material makes for very efficient pickup. I also like the claw and crevice nozzle. They are a bit small for small spaces in my small car, but they are great for going over floors, seats, and jobsite pickup. Definitely recommended over the stock hose that comes with most shop & wet/dry vacs.
