Unlike the Skincyclopedia, this is the type of book you'll bring in to the video store, or consult as you flip through the program guide on your tivo. So it's really great if you're not quite sure whether it's worth it to rent the arthouse flick or DVR the teen sex comedy.

The writing style is light and funny, with capsules that get straight to the information you want. I quibble with some of the rankings and some of the inclusions, and I wish some of the soft-core titles were removed to make way for more mainstream films, but these are minor issues.

All told, it's a very good reference, and a must-have for anyone interested in nudity in film.

This book is a great list of the top movies of all time for nudity. There are some big budget films that everyone has heard of, and some less known independent and cult films. The great part is, that all movies listed in the book are available on DVD so you can take a look at the nude scenes on your own. Mr. Skin is the expert on nudity in films so this list seems to be right on. Its a great read that is a lot of fun whether you are a fan of Mr. Skin, films, or just nudity in general. A must have for any movie fan.

Mr. Skin's Skintastic Video Guide gets right to the point and brings us 501 movies that the skin fan should see. Even if you've seen many of the movies listed Mr. Skin is always there to provide witty commentary to keep the movie fresh! There's a lot to explore and Mr. Skin always does a great job brining the flesh to the fan.

Just as the title says, this book is Skintastic! It's a quick, easy read full of great information and tons of laughs. It covers all kinds of movies, from big-budget Hollywood blockbusters to straight-to-video sex flicks to artsy independent stuff. And it may just be the only place to learn what the term "caged monkey" means.

I got a copy of the latest book by Mr. Skin and have been to Blockbuster three times already.

I am not sure how they did it but Mr. Skin counted all the body parts that show up in his favorite 500 movies, I mean like down to the boob and bun. You know you are looking at a good book when it shows an odd number of boobs, not counting by pair but rather by individual boob.

At the end of the book they also list in order Mr. Skin's favorite 69 movies which I have decided to try to rent sequentially over the next couple months. I have gotten through the first three - Showgirls, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Two Moon Junction. So far I can't disagree with the man.

I found this book to be both hilarious and a solid reference. I've always been a big movie fan, but not necessarily a person that seeks out nudity in film. The Skintastic video guide caught my attention and held it. It's a light, quick read with plenty of witty writing and entertaining tid-bits. Mr. Skin obviously takes his nudity seriously, (i.e. the exhaustive body part counts) but the book doesn't get bogged down with numbers and mere recitation of boring facts. I wasn't previously aware of Mr. Skin's first book, MR. SKIN'S SKINCYCLOPEDIA, but the Skintastic Video Guide convinced me to seek out that title as well. Besides being a good reference, it's also a perfect coffee table book and conversation starter for house guests. Overall I would recommend this book to even the most casual of movie fans.

Though closely related the voluminous Skincyclopedia, which is more useful to find actresses you want to see bare, the Skintastic Video Guide alerts the reader to what films will give you the most bang for your buck when you order your netflix or hit blockbuster. Coupled with DVR, and the ability to search out what movies will be airing on Skinemax, et. al., this is a powerful tool for nudity surfing. To borrow a phrase from Iron Mike Tyson, hands off to you Mr. Skin!

I thought MR. SKIN'S SKINCYCLOPEDIA was a major milestone in hilariously pervy publishing. So you can only imagine how floored I was when I picked up MR. SKIN'S SKINTASTIC VIDEO GUIDE and it's even better! I'm a big fan of MrSkin.com, as well as celebrity nudity and movie nude scenes. This book is fast, funny, sharp and right on the money. It truly is a "Skintastic" score that you will use for years whenever you want to "fast forward to the good parts" even faster.

Where his Skincyclopeida was a veritable tome of nudity reference goodness, Mr. Skin's Skintastic Video Guide takes you on a tour through the mind of the man himself. More than just a list of reviews of great movies for nudity, the Guide presents you with humorous asides, top 5 lists, and new vocabulary that will change the way you talk about nudity in film. Unlike a standard reference, you can pick this book up and just read it.

That's not to say that the Guide can't be used as a reference, but if that's what you're looking for, you might be disappointed. It's certainly not comprehensive, and some of the inclusions and exclusions are debatable. But the care that Mr. Skin takes in presenting each of the entries in the book, and the enthusiasm that pervades throughout, more than makes up for any thoughts that a certain movie should not have been included.

If you're a fan of nudity in film and enjoy irreverent reading, this book is for you.

A great guide for movie collectors and/or people who want the "skinny" on DVD special features that include extra nudity. Mr. Skin is the industry-leading expert on this subject, and his second book is just as funny as it is obsessively detailed. I have a copy of the Skincyclopedia and it's still a conversation piece / bet settler in my house... the Skintastic DVD guide will probably serve the same purpose for years to come.
