I originally purchased this book for research and found it incredibly interesting.
The revolutionary thing here is that a cook book has been brought out in an academic edition for historians interested in mid-19th century Britain.
I have to admit I fell in love with her earnest tone and dry humor, and was very glad to see this edition so affordably priced upon our return.
