Every year millions of letters to Santa reach the North Pole. Many are requests for presents. And many letters have questions about Santa, the elves and workshops, the reindeer, and, of course, the North Pole.

Now Mrs. Claus has her own gift for you - for the first time ever, she's taking a break from her very busy schedule to answer real questions from children of all ages. Join her on a tour of the North Pole and learn some of the best kept secrets of Christmas from the person who knows it all - Mrs. Claus!

Each question is accompanied by the colorful illustrations of David T. Wenzel, whose projects have included the Christmas bestseller Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer by Robert L. May and the visualization of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit as illustrated in graphic novel format.

A big beautiful book that was exciting to pull off the shelf. Page by page the questions are posted by the children with care.... and Mrs. Claus has the answers to share!

I love oversize books and this large Christmas read is perfect for an evening of hot cocoa and a cookie or two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas FAQs...just in time, December 11, 2009

This review is from: Mrs. Claus Explains It All: (At Last) Answers to the Questions Real Kids Ask! (Hardcover)
Mrs. Claus Explains It All by Elsbeth Claus and illustrated by David Wenzel answers the real questions many children ask about Christmas. Things like, How does Santa do it all in one night? and How can Santa get in if I don't have a chimney?, and many more. This is the inside scoop, because who knows more about the holiday and the man in red than his wife, Mrs. Claus. She even reveals some personal things I didn't know, like the fact that Santa is actually very health conscious and exercises everyday. This book is written with the young child's imagination in mind and the illustrations help bring that to life. The illustrator David Wenzel's art work can also seen in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer by Robert L. May and in J.R.R. Tolkien's graphic rendition of The Hobbit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mrs Claus Explains It All - a new Christmas Classic, December 10, 2009
This review is from: Mrs. Claus Explains It All: (At Last) Answers to the Questions Real Kids Ask! (Hardcover)
We bought this book last year about a week before Christmas - and my then 5 and 3 year old kids asked me to read it daily. This year my now 6-yr-old is reading it to herself - and to her brother - each day. They love telling me what they've learned about how Santa does what he does.

I'm sending to all my nieces and nephews next week as an early Christmas present.

Mrs. Claus Explains It All is a delightful and unique book that is perfect for children and enjoyable for adults. With gorgeous illustrations by David Wenzel, this is not only a verbal treat, but a visual one as well. As any parent or adult who has been around children knows, those little minds come up with some puzzling questions. In Mrs. Claus Explains It All, several of those puzzling Christmas/Santa questions can now be answered in a satisfying and fun way.

One evening, nestled on the couch with a warm blanket, I settled down with this wonderful book and found myself enjoying each and every word, as well as each and every picture. As a parent of a 6 and 2 year old, I can honestly say that this comes in very handy as a clever way to answer some of those "But how" questions. Not only that, but Mrs. Claus Explains It All, brought back wonderful childhood memories and set the mood perfectly for the holiday season. I adore this book and know that it will make a perfect addition to any library. What a delightful way to bring in the holiday season and bring a glowing smile to a child's innocent face!

Mrs. Claus Shares Some of the Best Kept Secrets of Christmas this Holiday Season

Beautifully Illustrated Picture Book Answers Children's Top Questions About the Magic and Mystery of the North Pole

Christi Love knows about Santa Claus. She has posed as Mrs. Claus at various events around the country and has been asked the many questions curious children have about the jolly man from the North Pole.

Love collected some of the most popular questions and presents them in Mrs. Claus Explains It All: (At Last) Answers to the Questions Real Kids Ask! (ISBN: 978-1-4022-1105-8; November 2008; $16.99 U.S./$18.99 CAN/'9.99 UK; hardcover; juvenile fiction/picture book) published by Sourcebooks Jabberwocky.

For the first time ever, Mrs. Claus takes time out of her busy schedule to answer real questions from children of all ages and reveals some the best kept secrets of Christmas, including:

How does Santa get into my house if we don't have a chimney?

What is Santa's favorite kind of cookie?

Where do elves come from?

Can all reindeer fly?

Each question is accompanied by the colorful illustrations of David T. Wenzel, whose projects have included the Christmas bestseller Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer by Robert L. May and the visualization of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit as illustrated in graphic novel format.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the very BEST Christmas books for children!, November 16, 2011
This review is from: Mrs. Claus Explains It All: (At Last) Answers to the Questions Real Kids Ask! (Hardcover)
Finally! A book that gives us the lowdown on Santa, the North Pole, his elves and reindeer. This tell-all comes directly from the big guy's number one assistant, Mrs. Claus, so you know it's the real deal. She's got the inside scoop on the layout of the North Pole Complex - including Command Central, the Underground Annex and Elf Village. She even lets us in on Santa's favorite cookie and his exercise routine!

Mrs. Claus answers the most frequently asked questions received in letters from children each year. How can Santa get in if I don't have a chimney? Where do elves come from? What do reindeer eat? Readers learn all about the more interesting details about life at the North Pole - some of which have never been revealed before. As you page through, it is immediately obvious how much thought was put into each answer. The explanations are realistic, yet still very magical. They are also quite lengthy, which means the book would be equally interesting for older children as well as younger ones. Mrs. Claus does a wonderful job of giving just the right amount of information.

The illustrations are a perfect match for the writing. Beautiful, full color drawings show what the North Pole really looks like: a peek at Elsbeth baking in her kitchen, Santa's workshops, the elves' quarters and the reindeer stables. Each question is posted on a colored scrap of paper printed in a child's handwriting, followed by a thorough response and an inside look at the area in question. This combination of clever presentation, great explanation and beautiful illustrations make for an absolutely fabulous Christmas book.

High quality illustrations hold an almost irresistable appeal for all who believe in Santa Claus and crave more "real" information about him. Carefully detailed answers to questions commonly asked by children about Mrs. Claus, Santa and life at the North Pole offer much more than the usual one sentence responses adults give to such inquiries. Mrs. Claus is depicted as a rather attractive and very capable assistant to everyone's favorite gift-giver. Sure to satisfy every curious believer in this magical duo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, my questions are answered!, December 23, 2008
This review is from: Mrs. Claus Explains It All: (At Last) Answers to the Questions Real Kids Ask! (Hardcover)
Just in time for Christmas comes a book that I, personally, have been waiting for since before I learned how to read. Why's that? Well, this one holds the answers to some of the biggest questions I've had about a particularly generous man who wears a bright red suit, and it's high time someone decided to answer those! I thought I was the only one who wondered how the heck he got into my home when I don't have a chimney, and how all of those explorers never found that huge workshop at the North Pole. Guess I wasn't the only one, after all.

Santa's right-hand man (woman, actually, since this was written by none other than Mrs. Elsbeth Claus herself) takes the most popular questions that reach Santa's inbox year after year and answers them all in this richly illustrated book. In this one volume, you can find out where the elves came from, how the North Pole is designed and functions, and Santa's favorite types of cookies. Even mentioned is an "Elf Academy" where good children can train to become human Elves and work missions for Santa undercover! (I may have to look into that myself...)

For the child in your home, or the child in you, you'll definitely want this book in your home as you celebrate the Christmas season.
