I'm an avid baker, and I must admit that I find this book to be my favorite! The close-up of each recipe, clear and simple directions, and delicious ingredients have made every recipe I've tried a success with me and all of my taste-testers. I've started putting a check mark by each recipe I've tried. So far I've done about half and I can't wait to do the other half. Buy this book if you like cookies!

One of the best cookbooks I've ever purchased. Sinful pictures beg you to cook the treats. The first day I purchased the book, I sat down and read the cookbook like it was a novel. The next day I found myself in a grocery store where I purchased over $60.00 worth of baking supplies. My friends at work now think I'm some kind of a brilliant cook. MRS. FIELDS IS THE QUEEN OF BAKING COOKIES AND THIS COOKBOOK PROVES IT! HER RECIPES PRODUCE THE MOST INDULGENT COOKIES AND DESERTS. THE COOKIES COME OUT SO SOFT AND CHEWY. THERE ARE SO MANY SAVORY VARIATIONS OF COOKIES AND DESSERTS YOU WILL WANT TO TRY ALL OF THEM. FOR ANYONE WITH A SWEET TOOTH THIS BOOK IS A MUST-HAVE!

Ever wondered how Mrs. Fields works her magic?? We have been using the Mrs. Fields cookbook for awhile now with my family. We love this book. It is a no nonsense guide for some serious cookies. We have enjoyeed the easy to follow recipes, there is a picture for each and every recipe. We also like the wide range of cookies. Some of our favorite recipes out of this book were the Chocolate Turtle Pie, it was to rich, and so tasty. We also enjoyed the Party Time cookies they were a shortbread cookie with almond slivers and chocolate chips, as well as the marbles, and Jessica's Marshmallow Clouds. If you are a cookie lover, this book is for you!

"Cookies" is almost synonymous with "Mrs. Fields" and that's what attracted me to this book. I expected Mrs. Fields' recipe for her famous chocolate chip cookies to be revealed -- unfortunately, it isn't. The recipes are standard cookie recipes, with an emphasis on chocolate chip types. There's even one recipe that calls for the use of all kinds (semisweet, white, bittersweet) in one cookie. What I like are the pictures. The cookies look just like the ones I make at home and that, to me, is reassuring. I also like the straightforward way in which the recipes are presented. They all look simple and easy to do. The book encourages and gives one the confidence to go into the kitchen and bake.

I picked this book up at my daughters school book fair.I cant begin to describe to you how your mouth is going to water & your stomach is going to growl looking through this book.Most of the recipes are very simple and there is a picture of each product.I love that,i hate it when an author doesnt show us a finished product.I am working my way through this book,recipe through yummy recipe.There is something for everyone!Chocolate chip cookies{several different recipes}pecan cookies ,peanut butter ,lemon,chocolate ,white chocolate,oatmeal,fruit cake cookies,butter cookies,pumpkin ,carrot , malted milk ,banana ,mocha ,Filled cookies with cream cheese ,marshmallows ,lemon cream, pineapple ,jam, whipped cream ,custard ,to cookies dipped in chocolate,bar cookies, several amazing brownies,even ice cream pies,toffee pie,mousse cheesecake,bread pudding ,chocolate cream roll and many more!! If your house has the "Little Red Hen" syndrome in it you wont feel guilty at all keeping these to yourself,your going to want to keep them all to yourself!

I bake a maximum of 4 times per year, but turn to this book as my only source because everything in it is sinfully delicious and incredibly easy. I've tried the Marshmallow Clouds, Crispy Cookies, and pecan cookies dipped in chocolate, and can honestly report that I've gotten raves and immediate requests for the recipes each time. I love the fact that there's photos for each recipe--it makes it easy for a non-baker to follow and understand what the final product should look like. Since ordering this book, I've purchased it for several friends as gifts. It's the greatest book for baking ever!

Every cookie I have made from this book has turned out so yummy and so perfect (I've made almost every recipe)! The yields are almost to the cookie! So you don't have to guess how much it'll make. I recommend this book to everyone who likes to bake cookies!

This book is great. This is the easiest cookie book I have ever seen. Everyone I bake peanutbutter cookies for love them. Even the people who say the really don't like peanutbutter cookies.Keep up the good work Mrs. Fields!!!

Let me get this out of the way first. If you don't have a lot of time, or you're just getting into baking, this book might not be for you. Some of the recipes require that you make the dough and then chill/freeze it for a couple hours. This is great if you have nothing to do, but for me it just doesn't work. Also, a lot of the recipes require you to buy heavy cream and other items that you might only use for these cookies/desserts (at least that's the way it was for me), so they can get a little expensive.

With all that being said, I have to say that the few recipes I've made out of it are pretty good. The chocolate chip cookies were just chocolate chip cookies, there was no razzle dazzle, but they weren't bad either.

I've seen better books and I've seen worse books. That's why it gets a 3-star rating.
