If you have ever found @MrsStephenFry's tweets at all funny, do yourself a favour and buy this book. It is frequently just as hilarious as "her" tweets.

Oh, and for fellow pun appreciators, this book is a fantastic treat.

You simply must read this. The laughs start early, then refuse to stop. I appreciated the format and dark humor mixed with a touch of ignorance.

I love Stephen Fry's acting and wit but this book badly misfired. The premise is that this is a diary by his fictional wife and it works for the first 25 pages or so and they are laugh-out-loud funny. The wife's entries are witty and tinged with off-the-wall humor... then it just gets repetitive and unfunny. How many times must we read that Stephen goes to the pub in his pajama bottoms or forgets his pants altogether? Funny once. Sort of funny twice. Not funny a third time. The humor gets lamer and lamer as it progresses, the puns get less witty, and I found it a chore to finish the whole thing.

We followed the tweets of "Mrs. Stephen Fry" (Brit actor/writer Stephen Fry's fictional "wife") all along, so of course we wanted to get "her" collected tweets in the form of this fictional journal-- very funny stuff, the observations & tribulations of Fry's imaginary wife who constantly has to "put up with" Fry's own fictional shenanigans & their imaginary kids (particularly funny if you know anything about Fry himself and how he's NOTHING like how he's portrayed in these funny entries!). Worth reading for a fun & fast read! :)

I love Stephen Fry's humour and this was no exception. It was a little silly, but I liked that too. When are we going to get installment 2>

Stephen Fry is witty and clever, though I suspect he doesn't like being called that. This book is a romp through twists and turns in a reality only Mr. Fry could come up with. I highly recommend this book and can only say do not be swallowing any liquid while reading because it may end up splattered all over your book or kindle.

It's a mistake to read this in public. I did, and practically injured myself trying to stifle the laughter. My favorite line from the whole thing, "I'd be far better off occupying my mind with something more intellectually demanding. Maybe I'll search for something. I'll try Ask Wooster..." Brilliant.

I enjoyed "How to have an almost perfect marriage" more than the diary, but this book was still fun and amusing. The diary format makes it perfect for reading when there are just a few minutes free here and there in the day. As it's a diary, I wasn't expecting any sort of story ending so I was very pleasantly surprised by the last entry!
