4.0 out of 5 stars The consolidation of a Come back, May 3, 2008
This review is from: Mrs God (Dig) (Audio CD)
Since the begining of the new century, classic speed/power metal band from Germany, Helloween, has been in a steady way of success not seen since their early days back in the late eighties. Their 2005 album, Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy represents, perhaps, the climb of this tendency. This first single release shows the two main band's characteristics: the sense of commercial metal with catchy hooks, good rythmn and speed guitars, and one of the most powerfull sounds in heavy metal nowadays, plus an extra track that is "Run".

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent choice for a first single, but is it keepers worthy?, December 8, 2006
This review is from: Mrs God (Dig) (Audio CD)
This song does do it all, catchy melody, chantable chorus, funny theme. This is what helloween has been known to do. Since 1985, this band has always found a way to place at least one tounge and cheek song on each album, and this fits right in with those tracks such as Heavy Metal Hamsters, Dr. Stien, ect... This really does fit in with the legacy of the Helloween "Keepers" Series, very reminicent of Dr. Stien's intent to make you laugh, and yet deliver on the power metal sound. The overall lyrics of this track may not be the most thoughtful (keeping it only to a four out of five), but the musicianship behind, and the quality of the music behind really caputre helloween's founding basis, fast, loud power metal. Pick this up if you are a collector, or even if you are not. The bonus track Run (the name of your Enemy) is definately worth the 6 dollars or so that you can pick this up. It should have been included on the original 2 disc release of Keepers III. Pick this single up, you will enjoy it. Definately Keepers Worthy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mrs. God, can you see?, October 5, 2005

This review is from: Mrs God (Dig) (Audio CD)
Mrs. God is by far the most listened-to song of Helloween's I have on my iPod-- and I have almost all of their albums on it, from Walls of Jericho (1979-ish) to Rabbit Don't Come Easy (2003). Not to account for the other two songs on this single, which are pure gold on their own, Mrs. God is Helloween's re-invigoration of themselves, and an absolutely awesome song. It's their shortest masterpiece (a metal song under three minutes), but I still cannot stop listening to it. And that's just one out of 14 songs slated for Keeper 3. Since Keeper 3 is out soon, don't necessarily buy this single, but by all means, if you even barely respect your musicality, you must get Keeper 3. Helloween may indeed prove to be, as track 11 of The Dark Ride (2000) implies, Immortal.
