I bought the 64 oz bottle of Lavender Mrs. Meyers on a whim. I thought it was expensive, but liked that it was easy on the environment. Little did I know that it would clean VERY well and leave my clothes smelling wonderful - not flowery just fresh and clean. I now think its worth every penny and rarely have to use fabric softener. I've seen the price as low at $9.99 but normally its around $15. I highly recommend it.

This is a powerful laundry cleaner which I have been using for one month. For fresh food and drink spills on clothing I pre-treat with Shout spray then use this detergent with and nearly everything comes out, I am not sure which is to credit. I am happy with the cleansing power for all the laundry not just potential stain challenges.

The second very notable thing about Mrs. Meyers is the strong scents which are not just obvious when removing clothes from the washer or the dryer, but they stay in the clean, stored clothing or linens for weeks. We are using lavender scent which my husband and I both like.

I have sniffed other scents in the stores and some are not to my personal liking, however that is a personal preference issue. To me the basil doesn't smell like basil, and the lemon verbena doesn't smell like that in real life either (I am a gardener who has grown those), so I would advise smelling the scents in real life to see how you like them first. You see, the scent is so strong you had better like it! Each of the scents that Mrs. Meyers offers are based on natural plant based scents not on odd chemical fragrances created solely by humans. (I see there is a harder to find unscented option as well.)

This is my 2nd order...do you think I like it? Yes! Great smell, fresh clothes, no harsh chemicals. Need I say more.

I always use natural detergents because the mainstream brands give me allergies. In the 10 years that I've been buying them, I've never had a reaction to any besides this detergent. After a few days of wearing my freshly laundered clothes, I developed itchy spots all over my arms, legs and torso where clothes rubbed against my skin. I suspect that is has to do with the strong fragrance, which lingers, along with the detergent, in the fabric. So if you are like me and buy natural brands due to sensitivity, stick with Method, 7th Generation or other trusted brands.

I thought I had found the greatest detergent ever. The sent was soooooo yummy when I washed the clothes, I love lavender! THEN... I started to smell puke around the house. First I though it was just my baby's spit up ( even though he is almost 2, strange) but slowly began to smell it on all our "washed" clothes. Yup a distinct milky puke smell. SOOO gross. Don'y buy it.
