This bag is great. However, you are not getting the bag you see in the picture. The diaper bag in the picture is the Classic Mrs. Smith's bag, not the basic. There are quite a few differences. Below is a description of both the Classic and Basic bag, which I received from Mrs. Smith herself.

Basic Black

- Inside the bag:

This Diaper Bag is probably the 10th one I've purchased, but I will not need to purchased another one. It holds everything I need with room for more, but really isn't that big. And the design of the bag makes everything easily accessible. Just open the flap on top or the drawer and voilà!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the drawer!! Keeps everything cushy & safe - like glass baby food jars, thermometer, etc.

I love this bag. With our first baby I was unhappy with every bag I found and went through at least a half dozen. This bag is perfect for parents with multiple kids with tons of storage space. It can be hung on our stroller and is perfect for traveling.

My only complaint is that the back-pack feature was a big plus for my husband but he doesn't like the fit and can't adjust it any more. He is six foot and has broad shoulders so it isn't comfortable for him.

I was super excited to get this bag, now I'm diappointed.
Pros:
*I loved the drawer idea.
*It held pretty much the same as my last bag that I loved.AD Sutton & Sons Herringbone Diaper Bag Black
*Lots of compartments that let you stay super organized.
*HUGMUNGOUS changing pads keeps all dirty areas covered and baby safe from germs
*Has a document pocket in the back of the bag so your papers don't get all wrinkled
*Has lots of mommy pockets on th outside of the bag
*Has a key clip on the outside of the bag so you don't loose your keys inside one of the pockets

Cons:
*It is bulky and not comfortable to carry.
*The shoulder strap pad has already broke in less than 3 weeks and without the pad, the nylon strap rubs you raw
*the zippers stick.
*It was not as big as I expected
*Not super cute
*Made from black canvas (looks cheap)
*No stroller straps
*Using the back pack feature is VERY uncomfortable

When deciding on a diaper bag, one of the biggest selling points would be that it might be something that held everything we'd need for a baby, and something my husband would want to be seen wearing. Sure, we could have gone with a diaper dude bag, but this bag caught my eye immediately: basic black without designing frills, roomy, nice amount of features.

We have been using this for 9 months now, and it has not disappointed. It has so much room for necessities that it doubled as a suitcase for baby's stuff on a trip we took a few months back. It can easily hold a dozen diapers, 2 spare outfits, and everything your baby could need on the road. Of course, fully packed it can get quite heavy, but it tolerates the weight well.

The bottom tray has also come in quite handy as our baby has been growing. It has enough compartments to carry up to 2 bottles with an ice pack, plus solid food pouches for baby and snacks for parents, as well as side pockets where you can stash a water bottle and your stuff.

Simply put, once we got to using this, I ditched my purse, and started stashing my stuff in the side pockets (aside for keys and a wallet, do you really need most of the stuff you stash in a purse? I didn't). I'd recommend it to new moms in a heartbeat.

We purchased this for a recent international trip after traveling with a different very expensive diaper bag (designer) on our prior trip. Our other diaper bag was pretty but not functional. This diaper bag is amazing especially the built in drawer that allows for toys, baby food spoon, bowl etc. We love all the pockets for bottles, formula etc. It comes with a very nice big diaper changing pad! It hangs perfectly on ur stroller. You can fit changes of clothes, bottles formula ur keys cellphone etc we even used it to store our plane tickets on the outside pocket and the plastic bib! My wifes only complaint was that she wishes they would be available in more stylish colors. I made us get the generic black. Too bad they don't have trendy colors for the ladies. I love the neutral color because it doesnt look like a diaper bag.

The changing pad is not waterproof, not even water resistant, so I am now looking for another one to use with this bag. The rest of the bag is fantastic, lots of room to store all of the essentials.

I love this bag! But buyers should be aware that it is bigger than it looks, well taller really. It holds quite a bit without the bag itself being heavy at all, which is great since it has a drawer in it. I wish they didn't charge so much more for the bags with different designs though.

i can't say enough great things about this bag! i bought it specifically for its convertible capability to a backpack and for its organizer drawer. i recently flew with this bag this past weekend and i no longer have to have 3 separate bags for diapers+change of clothes, food, toys, and even a lightweight blanket! i can fit everything in this one bag! that's huge! yet, it's pretty compact and fits easily under the airplane seat! unbelievable! i must've turned to my husband a dozen times throughout the weekend trip exclaiming, "I LOVE THIS BAG!" he loves it, too, btw. :D

i would definitely recommend this bag to other parents!!! as a first-time parent, i think this bag is a godsend. now that my 9-month old is more active and more demanding, i don't have time to keep track of multiple bags every time i walk out the door! look what i can fit in the bag!!! PROS:
- great customer support. when the bag arrived i was looking for the backpack straps and called the company right away. i got a call back immediately from mrs. smith herself! (fyi: the shoulder strap converts to backpack mode by looping it through the bag differently.)
- great functionality. we love how there's a top compartment and a bottom drawer that pulls out.
- love that there's a top flap with velcro and side zippers to keep everything in the bag. ie: even when the bag is at maximum capacity, you can still close the top flap because of the design. great feature!
- yay for the large document sleeve on the back! great for storing boarding passes, etc.
- love the backpack convertible option.
- appreciate all the compartments on the outside and inside. i use them all!
- love that it doesn't really look like a diaper bag.
- the price is very affordable.

CONS:
- the hang tag should include instructions on how to convert the bag to a backpack.
- outer material feels a little cheap but i'm not really bothered by it. for $39.99, i wasn't expecting much... we'll see how it stands the test of time. if and when this bag does break down, i would be happy to upgrade to a different mrs. smith bag out of a different material now that i've fallen in love with the interior design of this bag.
- sippy cup holder on the inside could be wider.
- didn't expect the "S" logo on the front flap. it's not in the product photo.
