All of the gameplay elements found in the original Pac-Man are present here. Eat the dots. Avoid the ghosts. Grab a power pellet. Gobble those ghosts! Still, Ms. Pac-Man added many new twists to the Pac-Man series--and they are all faithfully re-created here. There are multiple mazes to conquer and several new fruit prizes to consume. As always, you can use warp tunnels to quickly pass from one side of the maze to the other, and view cut-scenes once certain levels are bypassed. The controls are extremely responsive, letting you ditch those pesky ghosts with ease.

As if Ms. Pac-Man wasn't enough, Namco also threw in a copy of Super Pac-Man, which adds even more features to the gameplay. Both versions can be played from either a zoomed-out perspective that displays the entire maze, or a zoomed-in view that has much better graphics but displays only about a quarter of the maze at a time. All of the action and fun of the first feminist arcade game can be put in the palm of your hand with MS. PAC-MAN: Special Color Edition. You take control of the yellow disk adorned with lipstick and a pink bow, better known as the lovely Ms. Pac-Man. The goal is to guide her around the maze and eat all of the dots, avoiding the four ghosts that chase you. There are power pellets located in each corner of the maze which, when eaten, turn the ghosts blue. Once this happens, the ghosts can be eaten. Occasionally, fruit will float into the maze, which can be munched for extra points. If your friends want to play along, there is an alternating Two-Player mode. As an additional bonus, a complete version of SUPER PAC-MAN is included on the cartridge. Play as the first female arcade hero in MS. PAC-MAN: Special Color Edition.

This is admittedly biased review, as I am a huge Ms.Pac Man fan, but I dont think it can be denied that Ms.is the best game in the Pac-series: the simple interface of the game is incredibly addictive and provides for moments of frantic panic (will you reach the power pill in time! ) and joyous celebration or agonizing defeat. The variety of mazes circumvents the monotony of the original and the moving fruit provides for increased challenge. Control could have been better, but we all know that Pac-fans can overcome even the stubbornest of joysticks, so the response from the GBC is no major problem. The addition of Super Pac Man is an interesting reminder of an oft-forgotten sequel. In this game, your objective varies slightly as you must obtain keys which unlock pathways to fruit which must be eaten to clear the stage. Those pesky ghosts are back but now you can become invincible to them by eating special pills which make you grow to gargantuan size,as well as the standard power pills. Decent, unique entry in the series. Buy it for a dose of nostalgia and get addicted all over again.

I love this game. It is just like I remember on Atari that I used to play with. It is one of those classic games that you play just to beat your score, not to just get to the end of the game and then go through all the levels that you've already gone through. This is a great addition to anyone's game collection.

While there is no denying the staying power of this addictive game, I didn't think gameboy was the best vehicle for it. The game is best played with joystick and the small screen and controls don't quite do Ms. Pacman justice. Great way to pass the time in airports but the old arcade version is still much more fun to play.
