4.0 out of 5 stars A must for Pac-fanatics, good buy for casual gamers

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but Gameboy not the best vehicle for this game.
While there is no denying the staying power of this addictive game, I didn't think gameboy was the best vehicle for it. The game is best played with joystick and the small screen and controls don't quite do Ms. Pacman justice. Great way to pass the time in airports but the old arcade version is still much more fun to play.

This is admittedly biased review, as I am a huge Ms.Pac Man fan, but I dont think it can be denied that Ms.is the best game in the Pac-series: the simple interface of the game is incredibly addictive and provides for moments of frantic panic (will you reach the power pill in time! ) and joyous celebration or agonizing defeat. The variety of mazes circumvents the monotony of the original and the moving fruit provides for increased challenge. Control could have been better, but we all know that Pac-fans can overcome even the stubbornest of joysticks, so the response from the GBC is no major problem. The addition of Super Pac Man is an interesting reminder of an oft-forgotten sequel. In this game, your objective varies slightly as you must obtain keys which unlock pathways to fruit which must be eaten to clear the stage. Those pesky ghosts are back but now you can become invincible to them by eating special pills which make you grow to gargantuan size,as well as the standard power pills. Decent, unique entry in the series. Buy it for a dose of nostalgia and get addicted all over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great classic game, February 27, 2000

I love this game. It is just like I remember on Atari that I used to play with. It is one of those classic games that you play just to beat your score, not to just get to the end of the game and then go through all the levels that you've already gone through. This is a great addition to anyone's game collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hours of entertainment...., February 21, 2001
This review is from: Ms. Pacman: Special Edition (Game Cartridge)
Ms. Pacman, arguably one of the best Atari games ever, is back in a big way for Gameboy. The Loveable Ms. Pacman, sporting her farmiliar bow to distinguish her from her man is ready for action. The game is quite fun, with all the essential elements in place, the pellets, the ghosts etc. You loved the original, now enjoy good graphics as well.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is somewhat difficult to maneuver Ms. Pac Man without a joystick. This game is fun nevertheless and it also includes Super Pac Man which is really fun!

4.0 out of 5 stars A great classic that provides hours of fun!, August 4, 2002

This game is really fun to play, even though it gets repetitive after a while. The Gameboy game is just like the original Ms. Pacman that many of you have played in arcades before. It involves trying to eat all of the Pac Dots in a maze while running away from colorful ghost creatures. As dull as this may sound, it can provde hours of fun as you work your way through over twenty levels and try to earn movie clips along the way. Unfortunately, every level is almost exactly the same besides more valuable fruits and slightly different pathways. Also, the high score resets itself every single time you turn off your Gameboy. So if you want friends or siblings to compete with your scores, you need to simply rely on honesty.

Along with the Ms. Pacman game I have just described, there is also Super Pacman, a great added bonus! Super Pacman comes with Ms. Pacman, but it is a completely different game that involves using keys to unlock Pac Dots. Sadly, it is also very repetitive and the high scores still don't save! But overall, Ms. Pacman for Gameboy Color is an awsome game that can add hours of entertainment to a boring car ride, and it definitly deserves to be bought!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ms. Pac-Fans, rejoice!, November 22, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Ms. Pacman: Special Edition (Game Cartridge)
Ms. Pac-Man, another smash hit in the arcades, comes to the Game Boy (again) in style. This time, it's in a 2-in-1 cartridge with Super Pac-Man, another addicting arcade hit (Although not as much a hit as Ms. Pac-Man).

The graphics, sounds, and gameplay for both games are identical to their bigger-screened counterparts.

Ms. Pac-Man actually has a few extra mazes, but it takes a long time to reach them.

Since both games are fun and addicting, the cartridge gets 5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hand-held arcade, April 24, 2003
By
This review is from: Ms. Pacman: Special Edition (Game Cartridge)
Based on the arcade game, Ms. Pacman is very entertaining The object is to eat all the pellets. Power pellets enable you to eat the ghosts. The only thing I don't like about it is that once you lose all of your lives, you have to start from the beginning again!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best game ever!, March 29, 2003

My 6 year old loves this game she said, "The best part of the game is eating all the dots and making it to the next level". Super packman is included as a bonus -- definitely a plus! You can't go wrong with an (OG) classic.
