Product Description

Amazon.com

In this math-building software package for kids, M&M's candies have turned the factory upside down and torn up all the M&M's candy formulas. It's up to you and Yellow to make things right. As you race through the factory, you'll face churning chocolate, rampaging robots, cascading candy ... and along the way, math drills to test your smarts and challenge your game reflexes. Children, ages 5 to 10, practice age-appropriate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division drills while they race through a wild and funny action game. With stunning, nonviolent, high-resolution 3-D graphics and a high-paced adventure setting, this is a learning game kids will love.

3.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT PURCHASE if you have WIN 2000 December 4, 2002
By A Customer
I love this game! It's worked wonders for my daughter in speeding up basic math facts. Reccomended for Grade 2+
It IS fast, work with flash cards with your child or else they will be discouraged in not playing this game with the math. Make sure your Graphics/Video Card is UPDATED with drivers, max-out on your memory too really helped.
This game works great on Windows 98 - it does require some tweaking - PLEASE read the Read Me file for solving them.
Now the downside - my husband had to upgrade our system to Win 2000 for his software, and Simon & Schuster does not have any patches for this game.
I emailed them and this was their reply:
Thank you for contacting Simon and Schuster Interactive Technical Support
Unfortunately, this program is not supported on NT or Windows 2000 which is an NT platform. Because of the driver structure of NT, very few programs that use video compression programs such as this one are even rated on NT. I think you would find that the problems would be solved if you installed the program on a 95/98/ME system.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to e-mail us or call the technical support number listed in the documents that came with our product.
Sincerely,
D. L. Monson

2.0 out of 5 stars windows ME watch out December 1, 2001
By A Customer
This is a great math game for children with windows 98 (5 stars). My kids spent lots of time with the game every day for months until we "upgraded" with a new computer system. Be wary if you have ME and forget it with windows 2000. Who knows about XP. With ME, the keyboard arrows don't work correctly and youngsters can't advance in the math portion from atleast the 3rd level. Technical support indicated that there will be no fix for any problems experienced for systems with Windows ME, 2000, XP. A suggestion was made to purchase a gamepad controller to see if that helped. The children are quite disappointed and want to go back to windows 98.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME GAME! December 25, 2001
I just got back from a holiday party and played this with my cousin. THis game is awesome not just because it promotes math in a fun matter, but it gives a fun adventure for kids to work with. The adventure includes the world famous m&m's (and minis) You should definitely buy this for kids 4-13. I am even hooked!!!! This is a blast of fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best! January 5, 2003
By A Customer
This is one of the best computer games I have ever played. It isn't easy - that's for sure - but it is so much fun. My 7 year old son is the only one in the family who has gotten through all of the levels - including the bonus levels - but we all enjoy the game. The driving in "Get Out of Town" is a blast!! Well worth the money. This game is a lot of fun. The whole family will enjoy playing it again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Arcade action all over again! November 12, 2000
By A Customer
Finally, a NEW arcade style game! I bought this for my 4 year old son and he gets Yellow M&M to where he needs to go and this software reinforces his learning of numbers due to the math only levels! HINT: A game pad is the ticket to making the many jumps necessary in this game, but the arrow keys work just fine to zoom to and around the factory!

1.0 out of 5 stars ancient OS
The game looks great, but it only runs on Mac Classic! Who has that any more? The ad didn't say that Mac Classic was required, so the company allowed a return.
