Lightbulb moment!,

This review is from: Ms. Understood: Rebuilding the Feminine Equation (Paperback)
This was truly an eye-opening book for me. I have encouraged every Christian woman I know to read it, and can't wait until they do so we can talk about all of the so-relevant issues that Jen raised in her book. Jen's writing style speaks to me so well, and was just what I needed right now. This is a "must read" for every Christian gal who struggles with the "traditional" view of a "good" Christian woman being silent and less-than her male counterpart. Jen does a very good job of showing that while the feminist movement was rooted in good intentions, it missed the mark in many ways. We, as beautiful creations of God, are equally important in His eyes as his sons and have unique gifts that make us precious. Thank you, Jen, for reminding me of my importance!

I am worthy,

Wow! Jen, you moved me, yet again. I read this book just after reading Interrupted! A double whammy! I haven't yet finished the book and I'm already writing a review???? What does that tell you about it?
This is a must read for EVERY girl/women. Bible groups should do study groups on this, including teen groups. I have had so many light bulb moments, it is truly beautiful and uplifting. You will look at "that" homeless person or corner prostitute a little differently tomorrow! "But for the Grace of God go I" It isn't even about the path we chose or what happened to us that got us "to that bad place". But knowing that God doesn't care about what we've done, only what we WILL do. He uses our pathway to light the way for others. I am NO BETTER than "that" corner prostitute in God's eyes. Keep it up Jen!

I had heard Jen Hatmaker speak but had not read any of her books. So, this was my first adventure into Jen Hatmaker land. Her unique way of combining faith, humor, and encouragement will touch anyone. Women who have felt beaten down by the Bible, this is a ray of Sonshine. Read it and celebrate being sisters in Christ.

I wish I had read this book sooner. It brings clarity to an area that can be pretty confusing - the role and identity of women in the 21st century local Christian church. Besides, what woman wouldn't need to be reminded that God can use her, no matter what her past, to accomplish His plans?! The study of women in Jesus' lineage was fascinating. Jen's voice brings laugh-out-loud reading and I highly recommend it!
