James Martin has been climbing and photographing the Cascade Range for more than ten years. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including Smithsonian, Outside, and Backpacker. He lives in Seattle.
John Harlin is Northwest editor and feature writer for Backpacker magazine and former editor of Summit . He lives in Hood River, Oregon.
