My gym has an assortment of shinguards that are available for use and none of them compare to these. I shopped around quite a bit before deciding on this pair. If you are practicing Muay Thai and don't kick banana trees on a regular basis this will save your shins.

GREAT SHIN GUARDS! Kick as hard as you can... you will feel virtually NOTHING!,

I was actually skeptical buying from Twins at first just because it wasn't virtually stunning to look at as compared to other brands. But you know what they say... "Don't judge a book by its cover."I just LOVE these shinguards. As a martial arts newbie, my shins hurt after I give 4 hits on the heavy bag. My kicks may be strong, but I can't handle more than 4 kicks at a time. But with these on, I can just say... BRING IT ON! I can kick as many times and as hard as I want without feeling any PAIN. Meaning I can just warm up better with these on, and just kick without them during sparring (of course, I'd rather have them on). They are also very snug and don't move around, and they stay on during training. Twins Leather Shin/Instep Guards

These R real deal)). Hold kicks well, covers toes as well, does not slip sideways on the ankle,(DOES NOT COVER THE KNEECAP) on heavy low kicks when you block them you still may feel it.
Produces wonderful acoustic loud whacking claps when landed on the sparring mates bodies))). Leaves great blood marks on the skin too ( they all do). Would greatly recommend them they are professional shins. The only thing how to laundry them, when they develop odor... they r leather...

love them. the bottom covers my whole foot which isn't that serious. i wear a size 11. these are well built and fit snug and right around my shin.
the bottom strap would hurt a lil while sparring, but just not making it so tight solves that problem and they still don't move. there is no doubt in my mind that you will love these as much as i do. |
