5.0 out of 5 stars Very Entertaining!, November 26, 2007
I am going to skip a summary of the story as others have written much better than I could have.

I was only planning to listen to a little bit of the play but ended up enjoying the whole thing and being familiar with the story I thought this performance was fabulous. The actors did an excellent job and I would have liked to watch a dvd/video version with the same. I would recommend this to anyone and now I'm going to find more BBC radio plays. I'm also going to find more work by the main actors.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Much Ado!, July 12, 2010
Ok I have actually yet to listen to this but I was looking for Much Ado on audiobook as I love it so much and low and behold I find the BBC Radio production. Top it all off, it has David Tennant as one of my all time favourite Shakespearean characters, Benedick! (tied with Beatrice of course!) If anyone is trying to find this btw, and see that there is no way to purchase it on cd on Amazon, do not worry my Shakespearean chummies, [...] has it! (why it does not pop up on Amazon as such I shall never know...)Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another reason to love and ADORE David Tennant, October 7, 2009
You can almost visualize the performance! Oh, it is so wonderfully portrayed.

I am completely new to the world of Shakespeare. Oh, I know that sounds unbelievable. Of course I knew of Shakespeare--there are few in the world who can say otherwise--but before now, I had never read a Shakespeare play, nor seen a performance. And I'd decided to listen to this ONLY because David was listed as a performer in it (as you can tell, I love David Tennant). Now it is my very favorite Shakespearean radio performance of his and even now my favorite Shakespearean play.

The actors perform so well in Much Ado that you know the contemporary meaning of what they are saying, (even though we do not speak so ornately today). I took this audio out of the NYPL but I'm determined to buy this for my own continued pleasure... as I will all others. Since then, I have also listened to Hamlet by BBC Radio, though it did not list David in it, the performance was so good, I decided to try another and was riveted. My newfound love for Shakespeare may have started because of my love for DT, but it will not end there.

I will look through other BBC Radio Shakespeare performances and be assured, I do believe I will enjoy them!
