It's all buena!,

As a PowerPuff Girls fan I could hardly not fall for Mucha Lucha. Unfortunately our local WB station has stopped running it, so I was very excited to see it offered on video. This has the first six stories from the show (that's THREE actual shows for a running time of about 65 minutes). This show is very over the top and cartoony. There's nothing real about it at all. (A character tries to gain 600 pounds overnight... and exceeds that.) But if you find the idea of a whole town of masked wrestlers pretty funny... wrestlers who have superpowers like turning into a bulldozer ... wrestlers who uphold the the pillars of Honor! Family! Tradition! (and Donuts!) then you might enjoy this cartoon. And don't miss the Chicos de Barrio music video at the end. The Mucha Lucha theme will run through your head all day!

I just recently got into Mucha Lucha. This is one cartoon that always makes me laugh. This dvd will give you a taste of some of the cartoons from season 1. Also, you get to go behind the scenes to see how the show is made. In case you didn't know, this entire show is made with Macromedia flash.

In a world where quality cartoons are a thing of the past and every cartoon is just a half hour advertisement for a card game, its nice to see a cartoon be a cartoon. The characters are well done with my son loving The Flea. In the end, it really tries to teach a moral to the kids and is fun along the way. And, I don't have to buy any cards.

Loving Mucha Lucha,

I enjoy mucha lucha. I have always liked cartoons like this especially the music that goes a long with it. I like how the charcaters can change into different shapes and object when doing their wrestling. I especially like it when the flea always does somethig disggusting. but it is a and was a wonderful cartoon when it was on the WB. Maybe now I'll be able to enjoy it when i get it on DVD.

What saddens me is that there's no complete set for this fantastic show. I remember watching this when it first premiered, and goodness, what an ENJOYABLE show it was! The animation was clean, and the dialogue and characters are fun. This show is not entirely realistic, but that's what makes it so fun. It's a fun, cartoonish and sometimes warped look into the world of masked wrestling with three main characters that go to a luchadore school (where plenty of their adventures happen) This show was far better in quality to 'El Tigre', and is the original luchador show to watch!
