This product works okay, but for me, I have found the Mucinex D to be more powerful in doing the job.

My doctor recommended Mucinex DM, maximum strength, but I wish she hadn't. It helped my chest, but several hours after taking it, I woke up with a nasty jittery feeling. That was about six in the morning. It's now ten p.m., and though I feel better, I'm still not back to normal--even after meals, water, a walk, etc. I noticed a few other people had similar experiences. For what it's worth, I'm 5'6" and 112 pounds. Maybe half a dose would have been better. This stuff feels like speed, but not the good kind.
