5.0 out of 5 stars This is one tough machine
I've had my mucktruck just over a year. It has proven to be very functional and durable. It's perfect for traversing the narrow paths and slopes of my property.
There is no differential to allow easy turning, so it requires a bit of muscle to raise the back end enough to slide the rear tires left or right. It's incredibly powerful and nothing stops it, so it's...

1.0 out of 5 stars Muck truck? We wont be buying another
We loved ours at first but Wow, after running our muck truck for 4 months and it has been useless, poor build quality, poor paint, and its cheap because of those facts. ours breaks on a regular basis. Its no good for anyone over 5ft 8in because at that height you need to use your back to lift the dumper to steer it, try doing that all day for a week. You will be off work...

I've had my mucktruck just over a year. It has proven to be very functional and durable. It's perfect for traversing the narrow paths and slopes of my property.
There is no differential to allow easy turning, so it requires a bit of muscle to raise the back end enough to slide the rear tires left or right. It's incredibly powerful and nothing stops it, so it's important to learn how to handle it with a smaller load before filling it to the max. Like a standard wheelbarrow, balance is a major factor, especially when ascending or descending a slope.
Adjustments to the protected belt drive mechanism are easy with standard tools.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's good, not true 4x4, June 19, 2010

Seems to work as described. As guessed not really four wheel drive, it is connected through the mid wheel. It causes it to torque differently when in soft dirt and pulling a trailer.

The "mukluk" is very good for hauling dirt, stones, stumps, logs, etc. around the place. Travels well over rough ground. Not powerful enough to drag limbs or big logs in the woods, however. The snow plow would probably be OK on a level paved surface, but would not function on my gravel driveway.

Its no good for anyone over 5ft 8in because at that height you need to use your back to lift the dumper to steer it, try doing that all day for a week. You will be off work with a bad back for certain.

It needs constant adjustment to the brakes and belt.

Parts are unfairly expensive

It is simple to work on though (thankfully because you will need to work on it often)

Main issue is mechanism that holds bucket bends after use and then it gets so tight that you cant tip the machine, this then means that you can only empty 1/3rd of its load, and at that point you may as well use a wheel barrow.

Mine is going on ebay and im going back to my old hinowa, its far more versatile and 1000 times more reliable.
