I finally got a chance to read The Mud Hole this weekend. I really enjoyed it. The boys certainly followed the rule of true entrepreneurs ...."create a need and then fill it" and I like how you ended the story with consequences for less-than-honest behavior. This would be very good reading in the elementary classroom. I'd love to see it in a larger hardbound version with color pictures. Especially because of your great descriptions of driving attire and fashion of the day.
