5.0 out of 5 stars The gold standard for magnetic play books
We own several magnetic books that we purchased to keep our two year old amusing on a long car ride. Muddle Farm is by far and away the best one, in my opinion.

1. The illustrations are beautiful with an interesting distinctive style that make it stand apart from cookie cutter computer generated ones.

2. They have all the common farm animals...

2.0 out of 5 stars Pieces Everywhere!
I would not recommend for travel in a car or a plane unless your child is over the age of four, which somewhats defeats the purpose of a book to keep a young child occupied. Too many pieces and my granddaughter was easily bored with the book. Perhaps good for home, but again who wants to try and keep up with all the pieces.

We own several magnetic books that we purchased to keep our two year old amusing on a long car ride. Muddle Farm is by far and away the best one, in my opinion.

1. The illustrations are beautiful with an interesting distinctive style that make it stand apart from cookie cutter computer generated ones.

2. They have all the common farm animals. For young children like my son, this facilitates learning the names of all the animals. On various pages older children can pair them up with their babies or with the sounds they make.

3. This is the only book I've seen with a creative, well integrated storage container that is easily accessible to even a young child, but will not spill the pieces out when closed. My two year old can slide the barn door open himself and take the pieces out or put them away. Absolutely every magnetic book on the market should catch on to this because it is vastly superior to the difficult to open/won't stay closed plastic tray most use.

4. The story itself is simple but sweet, such that my child actually likes both the story and playing with the book

CONS

The only piece that annoys me is the butterfly because it is so darn small and somehow is always the one that gets lost under the couch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best choice for a magnetic book, February 23, 2010

I was looking for a magnetic book that would keep my toddler entertained on a recent plane trip and this one was fantastic. The illustrations are really cute and there are lots of little details to point out and discuss (even without using the magnets). The magnets themselves are housed in a "barn" compartment on the front that my toddler loved opening and closing (and seems pretty durable). I purchased a couple of others (including one Thomas the Train magnetic book) that were boring and unimaginative in comparison. The illustrations are very well done and even I got a kick out of them. Highly recommended for long car/plane trips. My niece, who's 5, was as fascinated with it as my 20 month old.

My 20 month old enjoys playing with this book. I purchased this book because she likes sticker books but gets aggravated that the stickers don't come off of the page, so the magnetic books helps this issue.

This is a great little book and my three year old loves playing with it. She can use her imagination to make up the scenes she wants. I like it too.

This is a great book. It has 15 magnetic animals and my 2 year old daughter loves to play with it. The barn door are on the inside front cover and all you have to do it to open the door. And the fun begins... We also bought this book for my niece because she always played with our book. And older kids loved it too. I recomend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Magnets are Fun, December 10, 2011

I purchased this for a plane ride when my son was 14-months. He was probably too young at the time. He now enjoys the animals - but they are no longer in the book, they are all over our fridge. He loved opening and closing the barn, but I'm sad to say, the barn door eventually tore off and it is now missing (I had been putting it back through the slots until it disappeared). So, all in all, it's a good product, but maybe for older than 14-months.

excellent qaulity and fast shipping. My grandaughters love the magnets and creating their own pictures. The colors are bright and the pieces not too small for my two and a half.
