This review is from: Mudrarakshasa of Visakhadatta (Paperback)
The book presents itself with an introduction by the author who established the text of the Sanskrit Drama, Mudrarakshasa of Visakhadatta. So the real author of the drama is Visakhadatta. The book is presented by the daughter of the author, whose name is on the cover page, Shri M.R. Kale. After a long introduction explaining plot, characters, and style, the author then proceeds in giving us the Sanskrit text, with the Hindi text corresponding, that M.R. Kale has established, then the translation of it in English. The edition of the book is rather poor, with pages rather yellow, even when new. I do not know any other versions of the drama, or any other editions, but I hope there are some more enjoyable to read, to touch, to look at. It is practical. It is informative to a certain degree. One has to see for oneself. Maybe some are comfortable with this edition. I am not. I own the book. I wish for another clearer edition, and text.
