This compilation of baseball stories contains the most personal and powerful reflections on our national pastime in quite some time - and that makes it a MUST read for it's inspirational messages.

The uniquely flavorful commentary makes the reader feel as if one has gone back in time to a bygone era where baseball and it's heroes were synonymous with growing up in America.

The reason this book hits the "black" is because each story is so personally relayed to the reader. The feeling that was experienced at that exact moment in time is brought forth for all not only to visualize, but to hear, smell, taste, and touch. It's amazing that just one simple baseball memory can be forever etched into the hearts, minds, and souls of each author.

What an absolutely delightful collection of thoughts and words concerning the wonderful game of baseball. This is not a collection of "quotes" from professional baseball players, rather it is a collection of the collective thought of average people, like you and me, who played, followed and watched the game over the years. My memories go back to the mid 1940, some of the memories here go back even further. This is quite an inspirational work and not just for the lovers of the game of baseball. There is something here for everyone. I dare say you will not be able to read this one without getting a glimps of yourself or a family member or a wonderful memory of when you were younger. It is also a wonderfully inspirational book for the young man or women just starting to learn to appreciate this game. Highly recommend this one.
