I am a serious runner (1200 miles a year), run in minimalist running shoes (no arch support or cushioning), and have flat feet. As a result, periodically I get pain in one of my arches. Over the years I have collected an assortment of products to deal with this problem, and am always interested in trying new products. I recognize that everyone's feet and needs are different, but for me the Mueller Arch Support relieves my pain immediately and works just fine. Here is what I like:

1. This is more compact and less bulky than products that support both the ankle and the arch. While those products come in handy when my ankle is also bothering me, I like to wear the smallest support possible when I run to deal with whatever problem I have. The Mueller Arch Support takes up very little room in my running shoes, and also is comfortable to wear in regular shoes.

2. This is very simple to use. Just place the small blue pad under the center of your arch, wrap the strap on the inside of your foot (not shown in the picture on Amazon) around the top of your foot, and while holding it in place, wrap the strap on the outside of your foot (which is shown in the picture and has the word "Mueller" on it) over the top of your foot and secure it to the neoprene. Doing that will also keep the first strap in place. While another review notes that there is a "lump" where the two straps cross, for me it is neglible and no different than other products that I own. It certainly has no effect on my comfort in wearing this, whether barefoot, in running shoes, or in street shoes.

3. While the picture shows this support being worn over a sock, you can also wear it directly on your foot.

I bought this product about a month back and really liked it. I have worn all kinds of arch support and have had surgery on both feet. I wanted something I could plod about the house with. I hate wearing shoes (live in FL)
The only problem I found was in the design. one strap curls around the other to fasten on the opposite side, leaving a lump at the crossover. I fixed this by cutting a small slit in the opposing side and I feed it through the center. Now in sits perfectly flat under my sandals too.
Beware. I figured they were a pack of two (I have two feet) Nope, just the one came..but! I am back for more! Easy wear, easy wash..I have one happy foot :)

These do help planter facitous (sp?). I wear them at night to help keep my feet muscles from tightening & they have worked well.

You need to know that they DO contain latex. Also, there is velcro in direct contact with your skin & it's very irritating after awhile!

This product did not work for me - because it shifted around so much while I was walking. When it was under a part of my foot other than the arch, it hurt rather than helped me.

I have orthodics made of metal and leather. They work great in shoes so I needed something for yoga. Unfortunately, this product is too soft to provide any real support barefoot. At least for me. I have fairly high arches. Hope it works for you!

I was looking forward to wearing this for my plantar facietis. Unfortunately after years and years wearing dansko clogs while on my feet 12+ hours at a time as an RN I developed PF. I thought this might be a way to get the support needed without having multiple inserts for various shoe types. Unfortunately I should have paid closer attention to the lower ratings.

The first problem is that both ends of the straps have the hard side of the velcro strip facing your skin. So one side is tucked inside next to your skin which almost caused a pressure sore and rubbed me raw. I did not notice it so much at first but by the time I did the damage was done. Granted the picture shows you tha the person has a sock on under the wrap. This would have been unnecessary had it not been designed this way.

Secondly the strap is very stretchy and does not provide a gread deal of suport. The pad at your arch is not very big either. Therefore the only place it put pressure was at the velcro strap on the top of my foot.

Won't be buying these ever again.

Also if you have any numbness in any of the areas on your feet such as diabetic or any other peripherial neuropathy you could really injur your skin with the velcro strap without realising it so please do not use this!

I guess if you are willing to wear socks under the support, you are not concerned about the velcro snaging you socks and you do not need a whole lot of support you may like them.

For your reference: I wear a size 7-7.5 shoe / 37/38 UK
Off to find something else.

This was to big. It could almost wrap around my foot twice. I have size 9 feet, so I didn't think this would be an issue. Because it doesn't fit, the velcro rubbed my foot raw. Wore twice, and got rid of it.

Well designed ace bandage with a mouse pad-like pad underneath for support. Go with this if experiencing light arch support otherwise get an insert.
