Kneed Relief? Give It a Try.,

This review is from: Mueller Jumper's Knee Strap (Misc.)
I found the Mueller Jumper's Knee Strap exactly as described. It goes around your knee, right below your kneecap over your patellar tendon. The velcro makes it easy to adjust and apply, and it puts just the right amount of pressure on the tendon. Simple.
I suspect this thing will work best for people that have knee problems where there is some tendonitis in their knee, and perhaps where the kneecap is going out of place (the strap pushes down on the tendon which seems like it would hold the kneecap down more firmly). Other helpful knee products I liked include Treat Your Own Knee Arthritis.

Works,

When I was training for a marathon, I suffered from runner's knee and this helped me get through my training and the race. It worked and was cheap, so it was a great solution.
I gave it a 3 for two reasons: -Sizing - only available in one size fits all. I'm a smaller woman and it would have been nice to have different sizes. It fit fine, but there was a lot of excess to wrap around. -Lacks plastic loop - I've used the knee strap by Pro-Tec, which has a plastic loop and makes it easier to tighten the strap. The Mueller strap is only a strip, so you have to wrap it around to get it tight, no loop to get some leverage. This wasn't a deal breaker, but it wasn't as easy to use, especially if you are trying to tighten it while on a run. Overall, I recommend it because of the cost. But the other features are nice if you are willing to pay a few extra bucks.

I cannot believe how well this works. I was extremely skeptical when purchasing but after using it I was completely amazed.
I was running between 3-6 miles 4 times a week and each time I would get a pain in my knee, right below the knee cap. Usually the pain would star around mile 2 or 3 and sometimes it would be too bad for me to finish the run. My friend told me to get one of these which I put off for about 3 months. Anyways I am training for a 1/2 marathon and figured I should finally get one. My first time using it was an 8 mile run and to my amazement / enjoyment I did not have any pain. I mean sure there was a little bit but honestly the further I ran the less I noticed it. I cannot believe I went this long without a knee strap. I don't know if they all work this good but man, I love this thing.

I had been suffering from a pain right below my knee cap for months. I am 33 and play soccer 3-4 times a week. I had avoided going to the doctor, worried that I would require surgery and have to stop playing. But finally, after having trouble sleeping because my knee would ache I went in. My X-rays looked like my knee was in good shape. He pressed around on my knee and did various tests and when he hit the spot that hurt, I let out a small gasp. He smiled and said he knew what I had: patellar tendinitis also knows as Jumper's Knee.
He suggested I get one of the straps and sent a lady in to show me what they had at the office. She was a runner and advised against the ones they sold there and suggested I try this brand. She said she wore it all the time and had amazing results. I am always a little skeptical unless I try something myself, but these things are so cheap you would have to be crazy not to try it to avoid pain. I am truly surprised, after a week and a half of wearing this when I run and play soccer, I can walk up stairs without favoring my uninjured side. I am not having issues with pain when I go to bed anymore. My knee isn't completely healed yet, but I am already able to go back to sprinting hard and pushing myself again rather than having to take it easy. So if you have pain right below your knee cap, give this strap a shot. I am amazed how well it works and a little upset with myself for not getting checked it out earlier.

I've had knee problems since I was a kid, with Osgood Schlatter's in both knees. I recently started running again after so many years of aquatic sports and as I began to run more my old knee pains started to reappear. I didn't realize that Osgood Schlatters could still cause pain even long after I had stopped growing, but I purchased this band and think it really helps with the pain. It really makes my knee feel secure and comfortable.
Also, this band is great because it's so easy to put on and take off, rather than having to slip it over your foot and it is also really easy to wash.

This product is a solution to a problem that I thought could not be fixed. For years after a hard run I had what I thought to be shin splints. I think what I had was to be more accuratly described as patellar syndrone. The cliff notes version is there is a tendon that is attached to your knee and runs the length of your shin and if you knee cap is out of alignment it hurts really really bad to run or do anything if you aggrivate it.
To me it felt like there was some bone shards or something that were just poking out from the bone. It was not a disabling pain, but it was painful enough to where walking was uncomfortable. I could not run because the pain was too much. I described this to one of my friends one day and he mentioned products like this one were being advertised in runners world. On a whim I order 3 different types and this was one of them. I thought that to be fair I should evaluate some other products before being sold on them. I also did not want to get caught up in a placebo effect. This was my favorite strap of the three that I ordered. I also ordered a gel strap, and futuro knee strap. The Mueller knee strap is very simple. It feels like there is a rubber hose that is surrounded by a very soft padded form. Its strechy and simple. You can wrap it around to where it is very tight and it remains comfortable. That is why I like it the best. It does not irritate the knee or cut off circulation. To date it has not slipped on me and it works. The hose that I described above puts pressure on the patella tendon and that keeps you able to run. This is not a fix for the problem I have, it only makes the pain bearable from what I was told. I have not had the problem with my "shin splints" since i have used any of the straps. This was the cheapest of the three and my favorite. I have no idea what sort of black magic it uses to make it work, but it is worth the $7 you will spend to try this thing. It works.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do,

My left knee cap tracks a bit too far to the outside of where it is supposed to. I have early arthritis in that area now. My doctor recommended this strap to help keep it better aligned..I had tried other braces in the past that slid off or were so uncomfortable that I stopped using them. This strap stays where I put it (all day long) and is comfortable and easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised that it did exactly what it was supposed to do and was available at a very reasonable price. A great product.

If you find your knee hurting after you jump or run!,
If you find your knee hurting after you jump or run buy this product. I can't express how good this works. It's not expensive either. A must buy IMO.

Without these straps, I was in pain and almost unable to run. Now, I run 18-25 miles a week and have no swelling or pain! Will never run without them again!

Works as advertised for me to relieve knee pain while running. Definitely seems to help my patella track. This is my 3rd purchase of this item, previous ones lasted a couple years each before the velcro gave out, which is an acceptable life span.
