Great performance! I admit I used to be someone who judged Naxos as being a sub-par classical music label, albeit a large one. This impression is being steadily refuted. Particularly in the realm of baroque music, I am consistently pleased with what I hear. Don't judge an album by its cover! Great playing - technically proficient, in tune, musical. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't seem to have the type of communication and spirited playing in other high quality discs, such as the AAM and Manze doing Handel's Concerti Grossi, Op. 6 [...] Listen for yourself!

This CD is pretty minimal but always tasteful. A stately sounding CD, performed well.But listen to the tracks and decide for yourself.
