5.0 out of 5 stars MMMMMMarvellous
this wonderful tried and true recipe book is amazingly easly to follow, the muffins ALWAYS turn out perfectly! This book was a mainstay in our home for years, until recently when it was 'lost'. It has simply disappeared. The variety of muffins, the ease of preparation, and the delicious results are well worth locating a book and wearing it out!

3.0 out of 5 stars Two down, dozens to go.
Someone recommended this book to me. I have decided to go through the recipes one by one. I have only made two so far, with mixed reviews. First muffin was a lemon tea muffin and it was way too salty for me and my family. I questioned myself as I was adding the teaspoon that was called for, but I wanted to follow the recipe exactly. Yuck. Second up was an apple muffin. It had a very good flavor, but looked awful. It was hard for me to get anyone in the family to try one because their appearance was so bad. I will continue to try the recipes because they are generally easy and only make 8-10 muffins. Surely I will eventually find a hit.

This is the recipe book that started my love of muffin baking that has continued for the past 20 years! I love this classic book - I felt lucky to take it with me when I moved out on my own. Great recipes, "normal" ingredeints, tasty and easy to follow. There are different chapters that cover the different kinds of muffins and a couple of areas for special occasions. LOVE IT!!!

I first bought this book 19 years ago and now the spine and pages have seen better days since I have used the book over and over again! I have given this book as a gift and it is always a winner.
