4.0 out of 5 stars Bubble Popping Keychain loads of fun
My son brought one of these home from Japan, and my teenage daughter LOVES it. She specifically asked for one for Christmas. When you continue to push the rubberly buttons, it randomly (and infrequently) makes a funny popping sound, so you have to be persistent to make that happen. The toy is probably mis-named because it's not really like bubble wrap, and that might...

1.0 out of 5 stars not fun
This toy was a great disappointment. I got several to give as gifts, and they were terrible. They are extremely quiet and don't sound like bubble wrap at all...it sounds more like the click of the button itself than bubble wrap popping! If you know someone who loves bubble wrap, get them the real thing...they won't even know this is supposed to be like bubble wrap unless...

The toy is probably mis-named because it's not really like bubble wrap, and that might disappoint a buyer. Put this item in the category of a "worry stone" -- it helps to relax your brain.

It's cute, and makes a fun noise, but it's really not the same as having those delightful popping bubble wrap sheets. After a short while, the random sounds are what really keep you coming back to it.

When my eight year old opened this birthday gift, the adults in the room scoffed at it and didn't understand the point of the toy. Five minutes later, they were all wanting a turn. It is a simple toy, but strangely compelling.

Mugen Pop Pop Endless bubble Popping Keychain Ice - it is hard to push the buttons but well worth the various noices if you can get them to pop.

Makes an extremely great stress reliever. I leave it on my computer desk and pop it when I'm experiencing writer's block!

Hey, let's face it. This is electronic bubble-wrap. Nothing really sophisticated or ingenious going on here. That being said, I was quite impressed with the effort put into mimicking the look and feel of actual bubble-wrap. The buttons actually feel like air-filled bubbles when pressed.

One aspect of this toy that I did find to be a design flaw though, is the fact that the button mechanism clicks on the release as well as on the press. So, when you press down, you hear a fairly accurate popping sound effect play along with a click, but when you release the bubble, there is a secondary click, which is obviously just not how bubble-wrap works!!!

I do like the random goofy sound effect that plays once in a while, nice touch. And I do like to have this around when I am working, it helps to relieve stress and clear my mind. But, for the price, it would be nice if the creators implemented some more game-like elements and extra features into this toy.

2.0 out of 5 stars A lot different than expected, November 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I thought it would be a cool little toy to play around with in my hand while I'm doing something. But the buttons are kind of hard to press, you have to put your finger on an angle, and the popping noise that it makes doesn't sound like bubble wrap at all. It doesn't feel like it ether, so I would pass on this one.

This is not what I expected at all. You can hardly hear the "pops" at all! You can hear it click more than "pop" doesn't sound anything like bubble wrap. This is a knock off version. I should have bought the original one sold at Think Geek and not this one. Not worth $2 bucks let alone 9!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not sure what all the complaints are for..., November 27, 2010

I was expecting to be disappointed with this toy from reading all the lousy reviews, but it's actually a pretty good alternative to real bubble wrap. It sounds and feels like bubble wrap and the "clicks" of the air-filled bubbles are pretty satisfying and loud enough (for me at least). The surprise sounds are a fun touch, too. All in all I'm glad I bought it, and for less than $1 you can't beat it. Now I can pop bubbles as much as I want :)

My only complaint would be that some of the buttons are kind of difficult to push, but I wouldn't say it's enough to prevent me from recommending the item to others. If you constantly need something to keep your hands busy, this is probably something you should own.
