I replaced my MTD standard blades afte some rock strikes and general use. I put these Gator type on hoping to get as good or better life out of them. The OEM blades lasted about three summers before they were shot. These gator blades have been through seven seasons now and all I've ever done to them is clean up the edges a bit on a belt sander. This weekend hit a unseen rock and I thought for sure the blades were gone. The blade came through just fine. The spindle not so much but the bearing was starting to bind anyway so it needed to be replaced. Just can't get over how strong these things are. Fantastic blades.

Chews up the grass and leave the lawn smooth and lovely! Wife says the yard never looked that good before. If you have a mower that can use these blades, buy them. Awsome

Purchased these to use with my Cub Cadet LTXZ-1050 (50" deck, 24HP Kohler).

I replaced the stock blades (which were NOT mulching blades), and while the originals were very sharp, they were a tad thinner than these Oregon blades. I also use these blades in conjunction with a mulch plug, which is a piece of plastic that fits snugly in the discharge chute, and forces the blades to chop and re-chop the mowed grass until all that's left are smaller mulched pieces of grass - which is supposedly less visible/falls in with the cut grass, and clumps less - and is supposed to be healthier in terms of nutrients as well.

I've cut the grass a few times, and I have to say I am pleased with the cut. The blades don't feel knife-sharp to the touch like the originals, but it does not seem to hinder the cutting ability at all. Very straight cut, and while as I went through higher parts of grass (the parts of the yard that always has quicker growing grass that grows thick) I did go slower, I didn't feel the mower choke at all. These parts, there were small chunks of grass left, but in years past with non-mulching blades, there would be the large, distinct one-foot wide trails of cut grass left in this area (ALL the time) that would require raking immediately after. Not so here - to remedy this I just overlapped the cut a bit and let the blades pick up the excess again - the end result there are a *few* clumps of grass. but the grass blades are much shorter, and I think a few swipes of a grass rake and they'll disappear into the lawn.

Overall, I am VERY happy, and the fact that these blades cost HALF of what the retail Cub Cadet non-mulching blades do, this is a no-brainer. Get these, and get a mulch plug. You'll be incredibly happy with the results.

Bought these for my Cub Cadet RZT50KW. Best purchase I ever made for the mower. The OEM blades were toast halfway through the first mowing season because they are really thin and lightweight (cheap). These Gator blades are MUCH beefier than the originals and really cut well, turning the clippings into tiny bits. Be carefull installing them to make sure the cutouts get seated correctly on the spindles. They don't have the toothed spline pattern cutout like the OEM blades...they have a "universal shape" punchout that works well, just make sure you line it up correctly before you tighten them down.

Highly recommended!

I heard about these Gator blades and decided to try them. They work much better than the stock Cub mulching blades. This is a second set so that I can switch sets when they need sharpening.

These will also fit the White Outdoor ZT-50 lawn mower. So if you are looking for replacement blades for your ZT-50 you can't beat gator blades. I worked for a landscape/lawn service for over 10 years, and every time we needed new blades Gator was the choice. No blades have ever come close to the performance of these blades. The mower I ran daily for the business cost in the range of $20,000, but the blades work just as well on a $2-3K lawn mower. They have always helped when it comes to cutting down thick or over grown lawns without leaving behind the debris that a normal blade does. Just as described. Shipped out and arrived on time.
