5.0 out of 5 stars The best Gillian Anderson biography/A must for all fans!, August 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Mulder, It's Me: The Gillian Anderson Files (Paperback)
This is the best Gillian Anderson biography on shelves today. But this isn't just a biography, this book also includes television and radio interviews with answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. You get to find out what people did when Gillian Anderson appeared at the X-Files convention and what questions her fans asked. It also includes the speech she made in Washington D.C. for public awareness about Neurofibromatosis, the disease her younger brother has been diagnosed with. This book also includes great Gillian Anderson Internet sources and an X-File episode guide with all the shows from season one to the end of season four. But best of all, this book includes a great section of full page color photographs of Gillian. If you are a Gillian Anderson fan, you have to get this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mulder's it's Me: More than just a biography, January 1, 2001

This review is from: Mulder, It's Me: The Gillian Anderson Files (Paperback)
Straight from the cutesy title that X-Philes know and love as one of Scully's trademark phrases, Mulder, it's Me really hits the spot. Gil Adamson and Dawn Connolly's biography about the amazing Gillian Anderson is extremely informative without being invasive of Ms. Anderson's privacy. The well-written fourteen-chapter biography is only the beginning of this stunning masterpiece - the book also includes candid interviews, a comprehensive episode guide of the first four seasons of The X-Files, a section on the 1996 Burbank convention by the renowned Autumn Tysko, a listing of internet resources, and 16 pages of color photos. Whether you are a newbie or a veteran fan, Mulder, it's Me: The Gillian Anderson Files is the must-have biography.

This review is from: Mulder, It's Me: The Gillian Anderson Files (Paperback)
This book gives a great look at the life of Gillian Anderson. From her "punk" days to becoming a mother. It has some great color photos of Gillian and even some good Gillian Internet sites. If you are a fan of Gillian or a X-Files curious about the star I suggest you buy this book as soon as you can.

4.0 out of 5 stars An informative and well-written book, great for fans., October 7, 1998

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Mulder, It's Me: The Gillian Anderson Files (Paperback)
For fans like myself who can't get enough of Gillian Anderson, "Mulder It's Me" is a surefire winner. The most comprehensive and informative book yet about Gillian, complete with rare photos, the book sheds ample ink on her contributions to NF, a rare disease that her brother has, plus complete transcriptions and playlists from various radio interviews - we can actually see what music Gillian picked! Neat-o, if you ask me. The book was undoubtedly written by fans, and the final section, a capsule commentary of the show's first five seasons, reads more like a post-feminist diatribe against David Duchovny's Mulder character, taking the viewpoint that Anderson's Scully is right 99% of the time! It proceeds to show what a creep Mulder is, and what a remarkable woman Scully is! While fans will admit that there is certainly truth to this, it gets grating over the course of five seasons reviews. It is, however, a risky and original way to look at the show. All in all, a highly entertaining read and an invaluable reference for Gillian fans.

This review is from: Mulder, It's Me: The Gillian Anderson Files (Paperback)
This book has, well, everything you wanted to know about Gillian Anderson (Agent Dana Scully on the X-Files) and more! The colour photo's are excellent, as well as the black and white ones. Each chapter has a unique title, and very good detail into herself, her daughter, and her work. A must have for any Gillian Anderson fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very informative and well written, January 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Mulder, It's Me: The Gillian Anderson Files (Paperback)
This book was very good in that it gave you quite an idea of Gillian Anderson's personality and view of things. It also describes the mania involved with her and The X-Files. It didn't give as much detail in her biography as I had hoped, but there is enough. There are some very good interviews with her and Chris Carter, and an episode guide that accuentates Scuuly's role, and an opinion of Gillian's acting in each episode. I enjoyed this book very much, and if you get this book you should also consider getting David Duchovny's biography, The Duchovny Files: The Truth is in Here. I finished this book in two days, and if you're as interested in The X-Files and it's actors as I am, I would very highly reccomend this book.

This review is from: Mulder, It's Me: The Gillian Anderson Files (Paperback)
This book offers a loving biography of Gillian Anderson. Her genuiness and sense of humor shine throughout the book, especially in the X-Files expo and radio appearances. She is hysterically sweet and funny! The book also offers one of the best episode guides (thru S4) I have ever seen for the show. This book is defintely a winner.
