I wish I would have had this book six months earlier. I hunted mule deer for this first time this year. It took me a week of hard hunting to learn the basic concepts of finding and hunting mule deer this book provides right upfront. The three step stalking method outlined in here will work for any western game. I highly recommend this to anyone hunting mule deer for the first time. Great Job!

This is a very informative and entertaining book. It is heavily geared towards open country style hunting, but most of the tips and suggestions should be useful for other types of mule deer hunting. The photo section of "hidden" deer was fun. I own dozens of books on hunting big-game, small-game, waterfowl, etc., this book contains far more useful information than most. The only weakness in the book, and it is a minor one, is that the section on muzzleloaders is a little slim, probably because the authors seem to be rifle and bowhunters.

I've been an avid Mule deer hunter for about seven years and I thought that I new how to go about going after the "Gray Ghost". I was wrong, you learn some great techniques on how to look for, find, and stalk the trophy of a lifetime. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves to hunt Mule deer no matter how long they have been hunting.
