Product Description
After playing in each other’s bands, songwriters Jaye Muller and Ben Patton decided to join forces and create this very beautiful 10 song album, "Muller and Patton". Clearly audible in these tracks are the influence of the Beatles, Queen, Brian Wilson, David Bowie, the Zombies and other melodic and arranged pop-rock, but the end result is a genre of their own. On the recording Jaye and Ben play most of the instruments themselves. The music was entirely a joint effort, with Ben penning the lyrics on his own. Highlight tracks: I WANT MY MOMMY, LIFE PRESERVER, BUT DO YOU TRUST ME?, GIRL IN A RESTAURANT...

I actually bought this on CDBaby as it was not yet available here and I'm not an Amazon member (that's why the kids review). I can highly recommend this cd to anyone who even remotely likes the Beatles, the Beachboys, Ben Folds Five or ELO for that matter. Lots of great melodies and chord changes. Since I got this album I can't listen to anything else. Thank you Muller and Patton!

Excellent sounds,

This is a fantastic album with no weak areas whatsoever. Great for a car ride or in the background at home, easy-on-the-ear real-band melodies which you'll find yourself humming and whistling along to, and then later without realising it. Uncomplicated music with layers, depth and a couple of real gems in there too.
